About us:

Gordano Rugby Football Club

Hello and welcome to the official SNAP Sponsorship profile of Gordano Rugby Football Club.

We're delighted to announce that we’ve now partnered with SNAP Sponsorship and we’re looking for sponsors who are excited about affiliating themselves with a well-supported grassroots rugby club.

We strive to craft a partnership with our sponsors that meets their specific objectives, whether that be community gifting, social responsibility (CSR), direct sales or brand building.

We’ll work with you to develop a partnership which meets both your objectives and adds value to our members — supporting our club’s ongoing work in the community to remove barriers and make sport enjoyable, accessible and sustainable for all.

Whatever your motivation, find out more below. Thank you for visiting our profile.

Why Sponsor Us?

Large network of players and committed supporters

Gordano Rugby Club boasts 22 teams and over 500 players. We also have a committed following of supporters and a large membership with a weekly attendance of up to 1000 people.

We’re proud of our social media following which provides circa 600,000 media impressions annually across our digital channels, providing extensive reach and increased brand awareness for any of our partners.

Gordano RFC has an array of sponsorship opportunities which can be tailored to meet your objectives. Through sponsorship, our club will promote your company in a wide variety of ways enriching the profile of your business in our community.

One of the most viewed pitches in the UK!

Our recently refurbished pitches are probably the most viewed in the UK as being right next to the M5, we’re passed by around 130k vehicles each day and due to this, we’re able to generate significant revenue from our advertising boards on the lower pitch.

Our club is also very well-known in the area due to the amount of traffic that passes it and this has increased participation by both players and supporters.

Get involved in grassroots sport and remove economic barriers making sport affordable and sustainable for all

Sponsorship of a grassroots sport delivers a much higher return on investment than traditional advertising. This is because sponsorship allows your business to become directly involved in activities that are highly valued by local consumers.

Consumers are known to form strong positive associations with sponsors who support the development of grassroots sport and contribute to the local community. With eight out of ten consumers preferring to believe in what a company does rather than what it says, it’s easy to see why many businesses are choosing to sponsor clubs like ours as a way of maximising their marketing return.

By directly supporting us, you’re helping to remove economic barriers — making sport affordable and sustainable for all.

The Club Today

One of the South West's Premium Local Rugby Clubs!

Welcome to Gordano RFC. We are a local rugby club on the outskirts of Bristol covering the areas of Portishead and Pill.

We run three senior male teams; our 1st XV play level 6 rugby in Regional 2 Tribute Sever, the 2nds play level 8 in Counties 3 Tribute Somerset North and the 3rd XV compete in the Bristol Combination Merit Table. Our ladies were promoted in 2021-22 and now play their rugby in NC 1 South West (East). Our U18 Colts have had a fairly successful few years and won the Somerset County Cup in 2022 beating Taunton in the final.

We also boast a very successful and child-centred Mini and Junior section offering fun sessions for boys and girls of all age groups.

We have a homely clubhouse, decked out in our club colours where we’re able to host small events and Andy Davies our club facilities manager has been with us for over 30 years. The clubhouse also has a covered balcony with seating overlooking the pitch and we’re currently in the process of having an additional bar built.

Throughout the club, Gordano RFC’s ideals reflect sports core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. And recent market research has overwhelmingly shown that the club comes across as being warm and friendly, providing good quality sport for all.

Whilst we are ambitious, we also have a strong family ethos, derived from a commitment to youth sport for all age groups.

All this is underwritten by a diverse sponsor base, at a variety of different levels, which aids the club’s financial stability and adds value to our audience.

We have a very simple vision at Gordano in that we want every child and family to fall in love and stay in love with rugby.

Aspirations

With membership and crowd attendances rising, we have ambitious plans to continue to develop the infrastructure at the club. Naturally, we want to support our sponsors and build them in to our club on a strategic level — allowing all of our partners to benefit from our ever-improving facilities, expanding audience and our community involvement.
