About us:

Worcester Rugby Football Club

Welcome to the official SNAP Sponsorship site of the Worcester Rugby Football Club (WRFC).

WRFC is a modern vibrant community club enjoying the support of over 1000 players and members, countless parents and many local businesses.  Formed in 1871 our new purpose-built facilities provide rugby for all ages and abilities and space for a wide range of social, charitable and business activities.  We have a significant social media presence and strong community bonds.

We have partnered with SNAP Sponsorship to help promote the numerous opportunities we have and make the experience as smooth as possible.

We want our sponsors and donors to be part of our Club and we will work with you to develop a partnership which meets your objectives, adds value to our Club and supports our critical work in the community to remove barriers and make sport enjoyable, accessible and sustainable for all.

Whatever your motivation, find out more below. Thank you for visiting our profile.

Why Sponsor ?

We take our rugby seriously…

Underpinned with a strong business ethos (and some great pies!) WRFC continues to invest in community rugby and, as part of our ambition to progress to higher levels, has recently established new coaching teams for our senior men and women.  Benny Williams, Head of Rugby Development with the Warriors and Donna Kennedy former and most capped Scottish international have recently taken on the joint head coaching role for our senior women and former Worcester Warriors stalwarts, Jonny Arr and Aleki Lutui for our senior men.

We pride ourselves on promoting rugby for all and our mixed ability and newly formed Women’s 1st team squads have enjoyed recent notable international and national success.  Our mini and junior sections also continue to grow with some 500 children enjoying rugby every weekend.  We have strong historic links with several schools in the area and work hard to ensure children, no matter what their backgrounds, can experience rugby and friendship at their local club.  Our most recent initiative is with a specialist education provider to support children unable to thrive in main stream education.

We take the wellbeing of our players seriously…

The mental and physical benefits of participation and exercise are important ingredients to our success.  As a team sport rugby also provides a range of life skills, experiences and friendships that our young players will carry in to adulthood.  We strive to make training fun and encourage our players to support each other and celebrate both individual and team achievements.  And when the inevitable happens we are pitch side to look after our players.

We take our supporters and customers seriously…

Our members, parents and commercial patronage are a key component of our club.  We know how important regular communication, a welcoming environment and an appealing social programme of activities are to maintaining a strong relationship with our stakeholders.  We also have a notable presence on social media.  We keep our website up to date and relevant and are currently focused on growing our social media audience of over 1500 followers on Twitter, 1500 followers on Facebook and just over 1k followers on Instagram.

To keep everyone dry and cosy over the winter months for the 2023-24 season we will erect a new 60-seater stand.

We take our business seriously…

Our amazing people, first-class facilities and unstinting support from local businesses have enabled us to build a truly community focussed club.  We have a clear commercial strategy aimed at increasing revenue through club and ground hire, sponsorship, advertising and, of course, supporters.

Located conveniently for the M5 and Worcester ring road, our modern Clubhouse provides an ideal, flexible space for any event.  The main room offers 200 square metres of open space which can be used for a variety of purposes.  The area is fully air-conditioned and offers broadband, integrated large screen projector and TVs and a wireless PA system.  Our meeting room also offers the full range of business services.  All of which is supported by our in-house catering team, kitchen and bar.

We are also located close to the Worcester Warriors.  The Warriors were born out of WRFC and many of their supporters still take advantage of our parking and great food and drink before and after the games.  WRFC and the Warriors continue to work closely and co-host a number of rugby events throughout the season.

WRFC is part of the fabric of the local community.  Businesses who sponsor and advertise with us know that, not only are they part of a trusted 150-year-old heritage but also part of a modern vibrant club that reaches out to all sections of society.

We take you seriously…

We believe sponsorship of a grassroots sport delivers a much higher return on investment than traditional advertising. This is because sponsorship allows your business to become directly involved in activities that are highly valued by our local community.  It will be money well spent.

Consumers are known to form strong positive associations with sponsors who support the development of grassroots sport and contribute to the local community. With eight out of ten consumers preferring to believe in what a company does rather than what it says, it’s easy to see why many businesses are choosing to sponsor rugby clubs like ours as a way of maximising their marketing return.

We have an array of sponsorship opportunities which can be tailored to meet your objectives. Through sponsorship, our club will promote your company in a wide variety of ways, increasing your brand awareness, and therefore enriching the profile of your business.

By directly supporting us, you’re helping to remove economic barriers — making sport affordable and inclusive for all.
