About us:

Somerset Lawn Tennis Association

Hello and welcome to the official SNAP Sponsorship profile of the Somerset Lawn Tennis Association.

We are delighted to announce that we have partnered with SNAP Sponsorship and are actively looking for sponsors to support us in our aim of opening up tennis to everyone in the county irrespective of background, ability, age, culture, gender or race.  We want anyone and everyone with an interest in tennis to get involved and appreciate the benefits of our sport; whether you play, coach, officiate or volunteer, Somerset LTA provides the leadership, expertise and resources to support you in reaching your potential.  We are proud to promote our sport which has seen an increase in participation across all age groups and abilities, and deliver improved physical and mental well-being to all those involved, however we can do more with your financial support.

We are very keen to enter into partnerships with our sponsors to mutual benefit.  Increased resources on our part means that we can invest more in achieving our aim and reach out to more people especially those from non-traditional tennis backgrounds while the benefits to our sponsors include improving brand awareness, capitalising on social media exposure as well as meeting social responsibility objectives.  In addition, sponsors would have conditional rights to tickets to the Wimbledon championships 2024 depending on the nature and level of the partnership.

Whatever your motivation, find out more below. Thank you for visiting our profile.

Engage with registered venues, their members and our strong social media following

Somerset LTA is at the heart of the tennis community and acts as the link between the registered LTA venues (clubs, schools, parks) and the national governing body.

In addition to our large county tennis network, we are also very active on social media and use our website, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts to promote tennis activities and events throughout the year.

From 01/01/2023 to 30/09/2023:

  • 1,100 pieces of content deployed across our 3 channels
  • Facebook reach of 19,000 unique users
  • Instagram reach of over 1,850 unique users
  • 60,000 impressions on Twitter

Social media activity includes our representative county teams (both juniors and seniors) who compete across the country in winter and summer against other counties, the annual LTA Tennis Awards, the Somerset County Championships (our flagship competition), inclusive tennis and our coach network events that improve the knowledge and expertise of our workforce.

We firmly believe that we have a strong digital presence with dedicated team members active across our channels engaging, sharing and championing tennis at every level.

Unlike some sports, tennis is played 365 days a year and therefore comes a host of sponsorship opportunities to meet the budgets and objectives of the organisation. Through sponsorship, we will promote your company in a wide variety of ways enriching the profile of your business in our tennis community and beyond.

If you have a particular requirement, we would be delighted to discuss this with you.

Get involved in grassroots sport and remove economic barriers making tennis affordable, accessible and inclusive for all

Sponsorship of a grassroots sport delivers a much higher return on investment than traditional advertising.  This is because sponsorship allows your business to become directly involved in activities that are highly valued by local consumers.

Somerset LTA is proud of its strong bonds with the community and enjoys supporting and engaging with local initiatives. Consumers are known to form strong positive associations with sponsors who support the development of grassroots sport and also contribute to the local area and by directly supporting us, you are helping to remove economic barriers thereby making tennis affordable, accessible and inclusive for all in the community.

About the Somerset Lawn Tennis Association

Founded in 1907, Somerset LTA acts as the link between the national governing body based in Roehampton and all registered venues in the county, and is responsible for opening tennis up to everyone irrespective of background, ability, age, culture, gender or race who would like to get involved with the game. This includes players, coaches, officials, volunteers, parents and fans all of whom are vital to the growth and sustainability of the sport in the county.

Somerset LTA provides the leadership, policies, support and guidance to all registered venues to enable them to deliver tennis at a local level that reflects the highest standards of professionalism and safeguarding as well as making the experience fun, sociable and enjoyable. It provides generous bursaries to Somerset based coaches who aspire to attain the next highest professional LTA qualification thereby ensuring that the coaching workforce is up to date with the latest coaching developments and maintain the highest safeguarding standards.   In addition, SLTA hosts the annual County Awards ceremony which recognises the outstanding contribution of coaches, officials and volunteers who have gone the extra mile to inspire people to get involved in our sport.

On a tactical level, Somerset LTA runs elite training programmes for the best juniors in the county who then compete in the national Junior County Cup events against other counties across multiple age groups.  It also have responsibility for the men's and ladies' senior teams as well as the Over 35 and above age groups that represent the county at different venues across the nation throughout the winter and summer months.  Additionally, Somerset LTA plans and organises the week-long county championships in August each year where players of all ages within the county compete against each other to be crowned county champion!

Aspirations

With an ever-increasing number of tennis players across the UK and rising numbers of local support and online followers, we will continue to open up tennis opportunities for all who want to play – no matter their age, ability, gender or background and we have ambitious plans to support venues in improving their facilities where people can play.

We will continue to provide leadership, policies, support, guidance and financial help to all registered venues across Somerset to enable them to deliver professional, safe and enjoyable tennis at a local level.

Naturally, we want to support our sponsors and build them into our organisation on a strategic level — allowing all of our partners to benefit from our ever-improving facilities, expanding audience and our community involvement.
