ABOUT US:

The Sils

"The Sils" is the over-arching branding for the (currently) face sports clubs to be based at The Silhillians Sports Ground. The multi-sports location is home to multi-award winning hockey, rugby and football clubs, with activity on site every day of the week, and a membership of well over 1000 people across these three core sports.  The site also is home to a rifle club, and a squash club, plus runs local football leagues, Summer Sports Camps, personal training sessions, and various other activities throughout the week.  There will also soon be a netball club based from the site.

The clubs, under the banner of "The Sils", share a common Mission Statement - "To unite the community through SPORTS", and are rapdily growing their reach within the local community, to provide multipe opportunities to participate in sport at any level, offer outreach into local schools, and support the development of local businesses through partnerships, marketing and mutual promotion.  The site offers a perfect venue for social activities and "off pitch" socialising as well.

Why Sponsor Us?

We are one of the largest multi-sports clubs in the Country, with a specific focus on juniors, with a diverse range of members based in an affluent area.  We are looking to create long lasting relationships with businesses who want to embrace our history, be part of our future and deliver impact within the Knowle/Dorridge and wider Solihull area - really embracing our aim to be the local sports hub that unites the community.  We will work to create a bespoke sponsorship offering in a mutually beneficial manner so we deliver on both parties shared objectives for maximum impact.

The club has a flexible approach to sponsorship, with perks ranging from but not limited to:

- Shout outs with your logo and link on social media posts as a thank you.

- Visibility across the social media channels of the club with your logo and hashtags.

- Captive audience of club members for exclusive business promotions.

- Invites to club events such as the end of season awards and weekends of sporting activity for you to be able to promote your products/services e.g. Club Days, Ladies Day etc.

- Kit Sponsorship.

- Signage and whole site sponsorship.

Alternative/supplementary perks can be arranged through negotiation dependent on the level of sponsor commitment, budget and your business objectives.

Every year we take additional steps to improve both the financial sustainability of all clubs, and the site as a whole, and look to embrace the developments in technology and approach to make our sports as accessible and supported as we can.

Aspirations

Our aspirations are to establish The Sils as one of the most significant players within the Sport England landscape, continue to support the Solihull community in offering accessible opportunities, and grow our own Sils "family" through improved relationships across all the sports, and also with local businesses.

History

We have a rich History & Heritage which we value, but also wish to embrace the opportunities that the future brings.  The Silhillians site is owned by The Old Silhillians Association - the old boys and girls association of Solihull School - and has provided sport to both its alumni, and also the wider community, for several decades.  The Sports sections have competed on the National, and International stage, with the most notable occasions being Old Silhillians Hockey Club being named European Hockey Club of the Year in 2014; the Hockey Club also winning the National Mixed Plate in 2013/14 and Silhillians RUFC playing in the National Vase Final at Twickenham in 1999.
