About us:

Why Sponsor Us?

We believe we are a forward thinking club and we are looking to create long lasting relationships with businesses who want to embrace our history, be part of our future and deliver an impact on the wider Stockport community and beyond.

We will work to create a bespoke sponsorship opportunity in a mutually beneficial manner so we can deliver our shared objectives for maximum impact.

Stoconians FC rely on the generosity of local individuals & businesses coupled with the membership subscriptions of the players which provides the funding to run as efficiently as possible each season. These contributions are paramount to enable the club to progress and to achieve the goals we have set.

We operate in Stockport at "Hillcrest" which has been our home since circa 1950 but travel widely throughout the Greater Manchester Area for all league games and throughout Cheshire with the Veterans side. Your marketing potential can travel with us, maximising its value.

The club has a flexible approach to sponsorship with various options, but not limited to the following:

Logo & link on all social media posts and websites pages

Golf day sponsorship or similar

Physical advertisement on club assets such as Kit Sponsorship, Ground Sponsorship, Changing Room Sponsorship, Pitch Maintainance, Player Sponsorship.

Pitchside advertisment/Banners

Captive audience of approximately 100 club members and their friends/families

Invites to club events

Alternative/supplementary agreements can be arranged through negotiation dependent on the level of sponsor commitment

Whilst we are a small community club, we are committed to giving you and your company the exposure and promotion you deserve. We recognise that without your support many of our members would not be enjoying their sport at the weekend!

Aspirations

Our aspirations are to re-establish our place in the top division of the Lancashire & Cheshire Football League ensuring the club operates with financial responsibility thus enabling the club to continue providing football into our centenary in 2028 and beyond.

History

Originally formed in 1928 the Club are one of the longest serving members of the Lancashire and Cheshire Amateur Football League and are affiliated with the Cheshire FA.

The club has developed to become one of the longest standing open age football clubs in the area, now running 2 teams in the Lancashire and Cheshire AFL, 1 in the Stockport & District Football League & 1 in the Cheshire Veterans Football League with excellent facilities as well as an excellent reputation in local football, within the League, the Stockport FA and the Cheshire County FA.

In 2011-12 the Club was awarded the F.A Charter Standard (Adult Club) Accreditation from the Football Association.

The club still maintains links with Stockport School from where the club originated.

Many of our players have followed in the footsteps of family members to play for Stoconians and this year the club enters its 95th season since its formation in 1928. A truly remarkable achievement and we hope to carry the club forward for many years to come.
