About us:

Old Southendian and Southchurch Cricket Club

Old Southendian and Southchurch CC is the premier Cricket Club in the Southend area. The club is delighted to announce that it has now partnered with SNAP Sponsorship to aid our advancement by developing lasting connections with local community organisations.

Why Sponsor Us?

Return of investment potential at our club is considerable through the following key areas:

Increased Brand Awareness

OSSCC has a massive external coverage. Our squads operate across multiple grounds around Southend, including Garons Park, Shoebury Park and the Shoebury Garrison Cricket Ground. Through sponsorship your business would gain a significant increase in brand awareness and consideration across our local area as well as the entire Essex region.

Enhanced Target Audience

OSSCC has an outstanding support network. Our club regularly attracts attendees to fixtures due to the quality standard of Cricket that we compete in. As a result of this the club has also built up a fantastic online presence across various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Through sponsorship your business would gain the ability to promote information through these channels to acquire commercial success.

Major Client Potential

OSSCC has an extensive membership base. At present the club has over 100 senior and 70 youth members. Accompanied by our social membership, made up of families and followers, we have an impressive community. Through sponsorship your business would align itself with out network of potential clients to market your services, products and experiences.

The Club Today

OSSCC is based at Garons Park, which was home to the Essex County Cricket Club Southend Festival for numerous years. The club is structured through a broad range of squads. On Saturdays we have 5 teams that compete in the HAMRO Foundation Essex League. On Sundays we have 1 team that contends in both Warsop Sunday League and friendlies. The club also accommodates youth Cricket for U’11’s, U13’s and U15’s. In addition to this OSSCC has partnered with official ECB programmes, such as Dynamos and All Stars Cricket, which introduces on average between 25-30 children to the sport each season.

Our Aspirations

OSSCC intends to expand both of our senior and junior sections by associating ourselves with schools and organisations within the local community to support club projects. We are firm believers that our sport is a game for all. This is why we are focused on removing the boundaries that prevent individuals from participating to promote an inclusive environment for all - regardless of age, ability, gender, race or economic reasons. From this the club will seek to upgrade our coaching capacity so that our base can become a focal point for training purposes within Essex for all levels of Cricketers. Within this digital age we also understand the importance that social media can have, not only as a commercial asset, but as a tool to attract these future players. This is why we will look to enhance our multi-media capabilities, introducing new forms of live-action and interactive content to make both our sport and club accessible for the next generation to come.

OSSCC History

OSSCC was formed as an amalgamation between Old Southendian Cricket Club and Southchurch Cricket Club in 1983. The club initially played at Southchurch Park before transferring over to Garons Park in 2016. The club retains close connections with Southend High School for Boys which has helped us produce players throughout the years.
