We are delighted to announce that we have partnered with SNAP to showcase our sponsorship opportunities, unite with business connections and advance our development for the benefit our members, supporters and local community.

Why Sponsor Us?

Here are three reasons why your business should sponsor Merstham Cricket Club!

Increased Brand Awareness

We want to partner with businesses that seek to increase brand awareness and consideration. This arrangement is one that would mutually benefit both parties, raising the club’s profile, whilst simultaneously using our assets to promote your services.

Networking Potential

We want to partner with businesses that can work with our membership base of players, coaches and supporters. Our setup is the ideal environment for your organisation, enabling you to market the products that you supply to the potential clients within our network.

Support Community Wellbeing

We want to partner with businesses that value the importance of wellbeing within our community. We believe that sport is a pathway to success and, with your support,  we will unite to make a significant positive difference in our local area.

Please notify the club if there are any sponsorship opportunities that you have identified which are not currently present on our SNAP profile. To register your interest in any of our packages please contact our page or an official club representative directly.

The Club Today

Merstham Cricket Club are a self-financed, non-profit making organisation that in recent years has focused our efforts into expanding our club into all areas of Cricket.

Membership

We are a club that has a thriving membership base. At present we have around 400 players that compete at all age levels in both league, friendly or junior Cricket. Our club is a focal point for our local community and regularly hosts events throughout the year which welcome a large social membership to the club. The club operates across two locations including the main ground at Quality Street and The Ring in Earlswood.

Teams

We are a club that accommodates Cricket for all, regardless of age, gender or ability. Our squads are made up of five separate Saturday league teams, two Sunday teams which include a development XI, a T20 team, 11 Junior sides of various ages as well as both Women’s and girls’ sections. Furthermore, we are also immensely proud to host a Disability XI which have been crowned champions in past years.

Charity Work

We are a club that values our connection to our local community and does all it can to support important causes where possible. We hold regular foodbank collections in aid of Stripey Stork and Loveworks. In April 2022 our club partnered with Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity and hosted a charity fundraising match between our youth and senior sides. The event was a huge success with a total of £1,350.00 raised for the organisation. To read more about the occasion please visit: https://www.mersthamcc.co.uk/news/1208

Clubmark Accreditation

We are a club that is focused on the future. In 2009 MCC attained the official ECB Clubmark accreditation. This status was re-confirmed in 2012, 2016 and 2019, highlighting how we are a club that provides a safe, structured and supportive environment to play Cricket. This prestigious status is synonymous with our ethos to be the best provider of Cricket to our community, whilst valuing the work we do towards a sustainable future for our members.

Aspirations

We have grand ambitions for the future. At our core we are a club that has always been, and always will be, focused on providing good-level Cricket to every individual. We do not believe in boundaries, figuratively speaking, which is why we have developed sides at every level within every section that we can offer. However, our work is far from done. Using our foundation and reputation we want to continue to advance by growing our membership further to provide additional playing opportunities for all within our area.

This is the reason why we have now chosen to partner with SNAP Sponsorship. With our club now enable to promote its broad range of advertising opportunities we hope to secure essential revenue to help fund our enhancement. From this we are certain that we can raise our profile, both on and off the field, maximising our own exposure whilst providing important support to the valued business connections that we will partner with from our local community. The club has a flexible approach to sponsorship with opportunities ranging from but are not limited to:

- Digital promotion via our online channels such as website and social media.

- Advertisement on physical assets around ground and within clubhouse.

- Marketing opportunities at official club events to network with our members.

History

Merstham Cricket Club was founded in 1864. Cricket has been played at the club’s primary ground, located in Quality Street, from 1890 with the first pavilion established five years later. During the 1950’s Colt Cricket was introduced to the club along with Sunday Cricket for recreational purposes.

In recent years the club has experienced vast ups and downs, through both tremendous promotions and bitter relegations. However, in 2012 MCC was named as the ECB’s focus club. The Natwest Cricket force, accompanied by professional Cricketers, helped to open the club’s new pavilion which helped prepare the club to re-open its new pavilion to mark the 150th anniversary in 2014. Since 2017 MCC has fielded four competitive teams in the Surrey County League and Surrey Championship providing a high standard of Cricket for
