About us:
Welcome to the official SNAP profile of XBMX: Xander Mavolwane Wright
Who Am I?
I am a BMX racer based in South East London. I've been racing since I was 4 years old after my sister and I accidentally came across the old Peckham pump track and were introduced to the sport by coach Nigel Whyte. We joined Peckham BMX Club and I've raced for the club ever since. I did well quite early on and have enjoyed some good results, including 7 x Regional Champion, 2 x British Champion, 6 x National Series Champion and National Champion in 2024.
2025 has been particularly busy, with GCSE exams at school and racing in the Junior category in the highly competitive European Cup. In the South Region of the UK, I've consistently raced in the age group above my official one to help me improve. Last season I rode up into the Junior category at National level to race BMX SX to help my progression. Nationally, I've raced in the Superclass category in 2025 and have enjoyed lining up on the gate with the likes of Olympic Silver medallist Kye Whyte and sharing the podium with BMX legend Callum Strickland.
Why is sponsorship important?
Sponsorship offers critical financial support, allowing me to cover expenses and support my growth initiatives. Additionally, sponsorship fosters a sense of community, linking your company with my network to meet your commercial objectives. By sponsoring me your business will benefit from enhanced brand recognition, giving you the opportunity to connect with my audience and promote your products, services, and experiences. Please have a look at the section on Sponsorship Opportunities for more details.
How does SNAP deliver more value to you?
Sponsoring through SNAP provides you with significant value. Being on SNAP gives users access to expert guidance and unique activations. This in turn will maximise your return on objectives, and investment. For over a decade SNAP has supported grassroots, local and regional sports across the UK by facilitating mutually beneficial partnerships between businesses and clubs and athletes to benefit companies, communities and the economy. We welcome any opportunity to discuss how we can replicate this success with you.
What will your investment enable?
Through sponsorship you will support the following objectives:
Training/Coaching
Being competitive in BMX at Championship level requires top level training and coaching. This includes weekly training sessions in the gym and on the track, pre and post race work and BMX camps at tracks around the UK and Europe. Your support will allow me to continue the work I have begun this year with my coach Tommaso Lupi, developing and refining the most effective personal programme to help me improve my racing performance.
Competition
BMX racing involves a lot of travelling to tracks around the world, both for competitions and for varied training. Your sponsorship will assist with the cost of travel and accommodation.
Sport development
I've learned that continuing to build my capacities as a top-level rider involves more than just focussed time on the bike. Working with a Sports Psychologist, specialist Nutritionist and Physiotherapist are all integral to my ability to sustain a healthy and hopefully lengthy career - and your support will help with the associated consultation fees.
Equipment
As an extreme sport and Olympic discipline, BMX racing continues to evolve and has got faster and more technical in my race lifetime. Sponsorship is central to my ability to access the bike parts, kit and protective gear which I depend on to ride fast and keep safe.
Thank you for your time and consideration
