Why Swindon Harriers Athletics Club
About us:
Who Are We?
We are a rapidly growing athletics club of c.680 members, based in central Swindon, a stone's throw from the Swindon Town football ground.
As the only athletics facility in the area, we have a wide membership footprint, from just north of Cirencester to the Vale of the White Horse in the East, to just south of the M4 in the South and to Malmesbury in the West; that's a population catchment of c.350,000 people, from country folk to inner city families.
We started out as Swindon Harriers in 1996. Prior to that there were two major athletics clubs in Swindon – the Swindon Road Runners and Swindon AC. The two clubs decided to amalgamate as they shared so many common interests.
How does SNAP deliver more value to you?
Sponsoring through SNAP provides you with significant value. Being on SNAP gives us access to expert guidance and unique relationships. This in turn will maximise your return on objectives, and investment.
For over a decade SNAP has supported grassroots, local and regional sports across the UK by facilitating mutually beneficial partnerships between businesses and clubs to benefit companies, communities and the economy. We welcome any opportunity to discuss how we can replicate this success with you.
Why is sponsorship important?
Sponsorship offers critical financial support, allowing us to cover expenses and support our growth initiatives. Additionally, sponsorship fosters a sense of community, linking your company with our network to meet your commercial objectives. By sponsoring us your business will benefit from enhanced brand recognition, giving you the opportunity to connect with our audience and promote your products, services, and experiences. Please refer to our Sponsorship Opportunities for additional details.
What will your investment enable?
Through sponsorship you will support the following objectives:
- Raising funds to refurbish the track surface. The track is an integral part of our club offering and refurbishment needs to be completed in 2030 at a cost c.£500,000.
- Raising funds to help off-set the c.£7,000 travel costs the club shall incur during 2025 transporting our athletes of all ages to League meetings across Southern England and South Wales.
- To grow the club’s support of the community it serves through sponsoring club kit for its volunteer coaching staff and its volunteer Athletics officials.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
