About us:

Federated Schools of Wood Street Infant School & Worplesdon Primary School

Hello and welcome to the official SNAP Sponsorship profile of the Federated Schools of Wood Street Infant School & Worplesdon Primary School.

We're delighted to announce that we’ve now partnered with SNAP Sponsorship and we’re looking for sponsors who are excited about affiliating themselves with a wonderful school in Surrey which requires additional funding for sports kit.

We will strive to craft a partnership with our sponsors that meets their specific objectives, whether that be community gifting, social responsibility (CSR), direct sales or brand building.

Whatever your motivation, find out more below. Thank you for visiting our profile.

Why Sponsor Us?

In order to secure a contract for our school sports kit with a higher quality supplier, we require additional funding as the increased cost cannot be covered in whole by the parents and school alone. We’re keen to build relationships with new and exciting local businesses and work alongside you to explore opportunities and mutual benefits.

The benefits of sponsoring our school sportswear are far-reaching. Just as sponsors play a key part in the promotion of professional sports, sponsors of school sports kit can also make a huge difference, helping to increase the quality and enjoyment of the young players they are championing.

By wearing a sponsored sports kit, young players can get a taste of how it feels to be taken seriously in their sport, motivating them to work hard and be the best they can be.

Early brand adoption and increased brand awareness in our community

Sponsoring our school sports kit will undoubtedly put your brand in a favourable light and help you to gain an edge over your competitors as championing young people in the local area can be an incredibly valuable investment in your business’s future as well as the young athletes.

When local businesses support young people in sports, they demonstrate a commitment to the well-being of their community. This investment not only fosters a sense of pride and unity among residents but also encourages increased community engagement and collaboration.

Not to mention the benefits of early brand adoption. The young players that benefit from a brand’s sponsorship will always remember that brand’s belief in them. By connecting with those athletes at a young age, your brand can build loyalty and credibility that will last a lifetime.

Similarly, the parents of those young players will undoubtedly come to favour the brand that helped make their youngsters feel championed, too. Sponsorship of school sportswear is one of the most direct ways you can tap into your chosen market. You can build valuable relationships with existing customers and reach out to potential new ones at the same time and by establishing connections with other local businesses, community organisations and influential individuals, these relationships can lead to new business opportunities, collaborations and strategic partnerships.

Helping to develop a sense of pride and the best opportunities to flourish

Young people grow up idolising their favourite sports people in their chosen field, and they see that those superstars are sponsored by big brands who want to champion their efforts.

When they receive similar sponsorship for their own sporting efforts, they feel the pride of knowing that someone believes in them enough to invest in their future, re-affirming their belief that maybe one day, they can be as successful as their big-name heroes.

It can also help a team bond – their shared pride in representing a sponsor can help motivate the team to train hard and make their sponsors proud.

Sponsoring school teams also lifts some of the financial burdens that might be associated with practising and participating in sports off parents’ shoulders. In turn, this allows the children to focus on doing what they love – playing their chosen sport and training hard and having a great kit makes the children feel like mini-professionals.

Sponsorship will allow Wood Street Infant School to provide high-quality sportswear for their young players. When the children feel like they’re being taken seriously and are being invested in, their confidence blooms and their talent grows.

Participation in sports improves self-esteem, mental discipline and social skills

Engaging in sports from a young age has numerous physical health benefits, including the development of strength, flexibility and endurance. Regular physical activity also helps maintain a healthy weight and reduces the risk of chronic diseases such as obesity, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases in later life. School sportswear sponsorship ensures that our children have access to essential kit, allowing them to participate in organised sports and reap the associated health benefits.

Participating in sports has been proven to improve mental health by reducing stress, anxiety and depression while increasing self-esteem and self-confidence. Through sponsorship, companies can help provide young athletes with the necessary support to develop their mental well-being and build resilience in the face of challenges.

In addition to wellbeing and the physical benefits of sports, there are also valuable life skills and lessons young people can learn including manners, respect and boundaries; practising persistence, meeting new friends and boosting confidence. Sports also offer an opportunity for young people to develop essential social skills and learn the value of teamwork, communication and cooperation. By sponsoring a school sports kit, companies can contribute to fostering these qualities in young athletes, which will serve them well in their future personal and professional lives.

Our School Today

The schools federated in September 2022 and we believe together, we will continue to go from strength to strength. We believe that children get just one childhood: it should be a magical and happy time where education should leave a host of positive and deep meaningful memories that last for the rest of their lives. With this in mind children are at the heart of every decision we make. We aim for every child to be happy, confident, risk takers who fulfil their potential.  We provide a nurturing environment where we value each child and promote positive attitudes and lifelong learning to help children grow into independent, respectful and creative adults with their own unique gifts and talents who love life and learning.

Our lasting legacy is that children leave our federation with happy memories. They will be confident and independent individuals who understand the importance of learning from their mistakes. They will have a love of life and learning, and will be ready to move into their next phase of education.

As federated schools, we have a unique offer; a small infant school of 90 or a large primary school of 540 for your child’s start to school. We do hope you will be able to visit and see the schools in action so you can decide which will be the best fit for your child. However, in the meantime, we hope our website gives an insight into the distinguishing features of our school and how we believe we get the balance right for each child in our care.

Our Values Based Ethos

We give pupils opportunities to develop the skills needed to become well-rounded, articulate, independent and confident members of a constantly evolving society, valuing themselves and others and feeling inspired by the world around them. At Worplesdon our curriculum is centred around the needs of our pupils, with the following four drivers at the core of our delivery of the National Curriculum (2014):

  • building resilience
  • inspiring curiosity
  • promoting teamwork and independence
  • instilling empathy.

Learning

The learning and teaching at our federation will equip children with a toolkit of transferable skills to enable them to become learners for life and with the skills and knowledge that they require to function positively in their present and future lives.

The way in which we go about creating an effective teaching and learning environment is to place the pupil at the centre of everything we do, recognising that every pupil must be valued and respected for what he/she brings to the learning situation.  It is the responsibility of both teachers and teaching assistants to build on their existing knowledge, experience and skills and to promote an environment where the pupil “learns to learn” and increasingly takes responsibility for improving the value of every interaction to improve the quality of the learning.

The interaction between teacher and pupils (both individually and collectively) is at the core of effective learning.  This core interaction – which needs to be as consistently creative as possible – is enabled by the capacity and skills of both teachers and pupils in delivering and receiving learning and the physical and emotional environment in which the interaction takes place.

Finally, we recognise that specific support needs to be given to both Teacher and Pupil based on an assessment of effective progress and in keeping with the values of the school.
