About us:

Brief introduction

Worcestershire Cricket exists to connect communities and improve lives by inspiring people to discover and share a passion for cricket. To shift perceptions of our game and become pioneers of inclusion. We aim to Inspire a generation to say ‘cricket is a game for me’ using three simple words:

Excite – Ignite passion for the game.

Embed – Provide opportunities for everyone to find their place in cricket.

Excel – To support everyone to the best they can be.

We are actively searching for new partners who want to tie into our strategy and inspire the next generation of cricketers within Worcestershire.

Why Sponsor Us?

We are a proactive not for profit organisation working with our 65 cricket clubs within the county to achieve one common goal, and that's for more Worcestershire people to say 'Cricket is a game for me'. Our two club development officers work closely with these teams providing them with crucial support and knowledge.

We have a strong presence in the community with our Wicketz community cricket programme, delivering cricket to 340 young people aged 8-16 living in areas of deprivation and hard-to-reach groups without access to sporting opportunities and the benefits sport can bring. By establishing sustainable community cricket hubs, we provide year-round weekly cricket sessions with a focus on developing crucial life skills.

We're at the forefront of diasbility cricket with our Super 1s Cricket programme giving young people aged 12-25 with both physical and learning disabilities the chance to play regular, competitive cricket. By creating community cricket hubs where young people can receive coaching, we give participants the chance to compete against their peers and enjoy the benefits of playing sport.

The delivery and partnerships we have with schools and clubs means many more children are able to enjoy cricket both within a school and club environment. We aim to provide opportunities for school children to enjoy the many health and social benefits that cricket promotes.  Through our partnerships with many different clubs and partners outside of the organisation such as Chance to Shine we deliver cricket sessions to 11750  children.

Today

We're a team of 9, successfully covering many different sectors of the Cricket in Worcestershire.

Our team closely support the 65 clubs, 2 Super 1's hubs, 7 Wicketz hubs and many schools all across the county. We do all of this with one goal in mind, to inspire people to say that 'Cricket is a game for me'. Our Cricket offer is extremelty diverse and inclusive from junior and women's softball to community hubs to your standard weekend hardball games for both men and women.

The workforce of cricket within Worcestershire includes coaches, umpires, scorers, groundsmen, volunteers and administrators of many of our clubs and partner groups. We aim to deliver high quality courses which cater for the demands of the workforce aiming to provide opportunities to upskill in order to best serve the cricketers of Worcestershire.
