About us:

Founded in 1865 and set on the edge of Epping Forest, the Woodford Wells Club is a hidden gem. It offers the opportunity to play six sports and provides modern facilities and a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The Club has a strong sense of community, a friendly factor that contributes to its success and that vital family aspect that encourages all ages to play sport. It is an attractive Club largely run by members for members with highly competitive membership rates. “The Wells” welcomes everyone who wants to play sport, watch sport or simply just talk about sport.

The Woodford Wells Cricket Club was the founding sport of the club and has been established since 1865.

We run four senior teams the first three of which play in the Shepherd Neame County league and the Fourth in the Herts & Essex League. One Sunday team and a large and flourishing junior section, with colts ranging from age 7 – 16. In total, we have over 200 members.

We have a strong history in Essex Cricket and our first eleven have been crowned County Champions on 4 occasions in 1986, 1987, 1989 and 1994.

We are very proud of our facilities and make significant investment ensuring they are of the highest standards. We have two grounds both of which have electronic scoreboards and 3 artificial nets.

We aim to ensure that every person, including players of all experience and ability, can play and become involved in the game in a fully structured. organised and resourced club environment.

The club has a flexible approach to sponsorship, with perks ranging from but are not limited to:

logo & link on social media posts and websites pages

physical advertisement on club assets such as scoreboards and advertising boards around the ground

opportunities to advertise at club events such as open air cinema and summer balls

a captive audience of club members for exclusive business promotions

invites to club events

Alternative/supplementary perks can be arranged through negotiation dependent on the level of sponsor commitment such as complimentry membership and free use of club facilities

Whilst we are a community club, we are committed to giving you and your company the exposure and promotion you deserve. We recognise that without your support clubs such as ours would be far worse off.
