Why Kineton Sports and Social Cricket Club
Established in 1877, Kineton Sports & Social Cricket Club is situated in beautiful surroundings within the village.
Located within the grounds of Kineton Sports & Social Club is a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC), which has 800 members participating in a range of sports including football and bowls. Regular classic car meetings attract large audiences from a wide area, with the frequent caravan club rallies and annual music festival hosting around 1700 visitors.
The Club’s mission is to foster and promote the sport of cricket at all levels within the community and within the sport, providing opportunities for recreation, coaching and competition.
Why sponsor us?
Building a new cricket pavilion is an ambitious project with a total cost of £90K. Contributions have already been secured from the Parish Council and Warwickshire Cricket Board. Adding these to the club’s own savings we now require a short-term effort to raise a further £40k.
As a successful club, Kineton Sports & Social Cricket Club's sources of income are from holding fundraising events, including our Sportsperson Dinner, and by relying on the generosity of local individuals and businesses to provide funding. The Club is not-for-profit and reinvests all monies raised back into the Club for the good of the community.
Being part of Kineton Sports & Social Club, sponsors will be exposed to marketing opportunities reaching a wide audience that extends far beyond the village community.
The club has a flexible approach to sponsorship, with opportunities to appeal to everyone ranging from £20 to £10,000. Perks range from but are not limited to:
- logo & link on social media posts and website
- physical advertisement on club assets
- opportunities to advertise at club events
- captive audience of Kineton Sports & Social Club users, as well as cricketers
- invites to club events
There is a deep-rooted passion for cricket and dedication to local success, with many senior players starting their cricketing journey at Kineton aged 5!
Achievement of the England and Wales Cricket Board Clubmark accreditation in 2015 shows that the club is sustainable, well run and provides the right environment for its members.
The Club is proud to be chosen to host Junior County Matches each year, attracting talented juniors from around the country. We always offer a warm welcome, and provide good hospitality.
Kineton Sports & Social Cricket Club appeals to people of all ages with:
· two senior teams in the Cotswold Hills League, Premier Division and Division 5
· a Sunday Team in the Arden Hill’s League
· Junior teams for Under 15,13 and 11’s
· A women’s softball team, with over 30 members and an age range spanning over 50 years!
· Dynamo’s cricket for children aged 9 to 11
· All Stars cricket for children aged 5 to 8
On the pitch: The Club’s ambition is to build on previous success and to continue to field two strong senior teams, striving to finish near the top of their divisions. Continued development of the women’s team, providing opportunities for women of all ages to participate in and enjoy cricket. Supporting the junior section in the development of our future stars.
New pavilion: The Club is embarking on a project to build a new cricket pavilion for the 2022 season. The current pavilion has been in situ for in excess of 25 years and requires significant upgrading. With the development of the women’s section and our thriving junior section, a new pavilion will provide facilities for all.
Cricket began in Kineton in 1877 and continues to be at the heart of our village community.
The wicket has seen Saturday teams perform in local leagues for many years. A Sunday team has recently been started to enable development of new players as well as to offer some of our ' older' cricketers an opportunity to continue to play.
In 2006, junior cricket was launched and we are now proud to have a thriving junior section, with oustanding achievements. All Stars Cricket, in association with the Engalnd and Wales Cricket Board, for 5 to 8 year olds was launched in 2019.
We were excited to form a Women's softball team in 2020. This has proved very popular and we look forward to developing this further over the coming years.
Over the past few years, with focused efforts by the strong committee, facilities have been improved: the nets were installed around fifteen years ago and have been fully renewed. A bowling machine has been purchased along with covers, new sightscreens and an electronic scoreboard. Additionally, we have a batting cage for use on our all-weather strip
