About us:

Great Totham Cricket Club:

About Us:

We are a village cricket club located in the heart of rural Essex and pride ourselves on being one of the most sociable and friendly sports clubs in the area.

We believe sponsorship of our club will deliver value based on a marketing investment for financial return, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), or for the love of the club.

Whatever your motivation, find out more below. Thank you for visiting our profile.

Why Sponsor Us?

The club has a flexible approach to sponsorship, with perks ranging from but are not limited to:

- logo & link on social media posts and websites pages, to an audience of roughly 75,000 annually

-  physical advertisement on club assets, providing exposure to players and spectators which will also be advertised through our social media

- opportunities to advertise at club events, to an audience wider than our existing membership base

Alternative/supplementary perks can be arranged through negotiation dependent on the level of sponsor commitment, budget and your business objectives.

Audience:

Our current membership size stands around 150 players, which obviously increases with spectators and family members etc. This membership is split between Adults, Juniors (ages 10-17), Dynamos (ages 8-11) and All-Stars (ages 5-8).

Digital:

As a club we understand the importance and power of social media, and therefore use Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin and Facebook to promote our club/fixtures and sponsors with a total following over 1200.

Facilities:

We currently utilise two grounds - Bull Meadow and Great Braxted Cricket Club due to our large membership size.

Bull Meadow - We truly believe this is one of the most picturesque village cricket settings in the county. We've been playing cricket here since 1870. The Tom Martin Pavillion was constructed in 1997 and we've been growing ever since, with recent expansions including improved net facilities (2015), and the OK Shed (2021). We employ a local groundsman to ensure that our playing surface is the best it can be and have a team of volunteers to ensure the rest of the ground remains in tip-top condition.

Great Braxted - Great Braxted is one of 11 clubs formed in the 18th Century. We are proud to continue the long-standing tradition of playing cricket there and hope that this may encourage more cricket to be played in the village.

Current:

Today, we provide cricket for all ages and abilities, with our four senior teams competing in the Premier, Fourth and Ninth Division of the T Rippon Mid Essex Cricket League, and Division 2 of the North Essex Cricket League.

Our juniors start from age 5 with All Stars Cricket, before leading into ability-based training sessions led by our team of ECB Level 2 qualified coaches. We also offer Girl Power Dynamos Cricket, for girls aged 8 to 11, with an aim to provide a better opportunity for girls to take up our great game. Competitive hardball junior cricket is available at age groups U11s, U12s, U14s, and U15s. We fully believe in the progression of our younger players so we actively encourage our colts to play in our Third and Sunday XIs to continue their cricketing journey surrounded by others of a similar age.

Aspirations:

Our aspirations for the coming seasons mainly revolve around growth and expansion at the club. We would love to see our open age cricket expand, to include another league team. We would also love our girls only programme to be developed more, into a women's section. We believe cricket should be available to everyone!

We also have aspirations for our facilities as we look to extend our pavilion. The current facilities are quickly being outgrown due to our growing membership. Hopefully we can invest in bigger changing rooms, as well as separate areas for officials, ladies and disabled access. Alongside this, we look to find another 'second pitch', again due to our growing membership.

History:

Great Totham Cricket Club has been around for 152 seasons. We remain at Bull Meadow, our original ground, for all home games which we are very grateful for.

In 2017, we gained the ECB Clubmark Accreditation which we maintain as an operating standard across the club which we are very proud of.
