We are an established Sports Club with over 250 members based in Hopwood on the Birmingham/Worcestershire border offering both cricket and rugby to its members but is also home to a number of other community projects.
Why Sponsor us?
With a long sporting history we can offer potential sponsors a host of benefits and opportunities including acknowledgment and coverage on all our social media platforms covering Twitter, Facebook and Instagram plus we have mens, womens and club sponsorship opportunities available, ground advertising, scoreboards, ground covers to name but a few. The impact to any potential sponsor in supporting our club is not only having access to not only our incumbent members and all the social media channels our members use to keep in touch, but also the local community who use our c;lubs facilities weekly, additional cricket teams who train and play their matches at our "Masshouse" ground with further potential from Alvechurch FC junior football teams who also train and play matches at the facilty as well as Worcestershire County Cricket Club who also use us for some of their county age group games and training.
We are fortunate to have 3 senior mens teams who play in the Worcestershire County League on Saturday's, Two senior ladies teams offering both a development side and a 1st team that play their games in the West Midland Womens Cricket Leagues Premier Division, plus we have both senior mens and womens rubgy teams and our new Five Ways Falcons junior section too.
As a priviledged Worcestershire County Cricket Hub Club, its our vision to work with our local community as much as possible to get people active and to engage with sport once more, certainly once current restrictions are lifted. We are engaging with local schools with Worcestershire County CC to get younger children into registered initiatives and as a hub club we have an extensive offering of both cricket and rugby, with a large number of of senior and county age group womens and girls representing our club at county level and wish to encourage more women and girls to come forward and play either cricket or rugby and overall increase our junior section as much as possible for the future.
Established in 1892, the old boys from Kind Edwards Sixth School Five Ways Ladywood wanted to continue to play cricket and rugby after they had left school and began playing as FWOE and used Portland Road Edgbaston as their base.
In 1934 the club moved to Masshouse Lane in Kings Norton and then finally in 1977 to its current location in Ash Lane , Hopwood, however, we have maintained our "Masshouse" name as part of heritage.
