Who Are We?
Â
Â
We are Grassroots Cricket.
Established in 1865, Bradford and Bingley Cricket Club is a cornerstone of the West Yorkshire sporting community. Our home at Wagon Lane is one of the region's few remaining grounds featuring a traditional cricket pavilion—a symbol of our deep heritage.
Following the landmark 1989 merger between Bingley CC and Bradford CC, we have become one of the most decorated clubs in the region. We are historically the joint-most successful club in the prestigious Gordon Rigg Bradford Premier League, boasting:
10 League Titles
11 Priestley Cup Wins (including the 2023 Championship)
3 Yorkshire Club Championships
2 T20 Trophy Wins
Our Teams & Performance
We field a diverse range of teams, providing a pathway from youth development to elite amateur cricket:
1st XI: Finished a resilient 4th in the Premiership (2025) despite early-season injuries to Captain Jacob Slator and wicket-keeper Ben Moffatt. We are thrilled to announce the return of star overseas bowler Udith Madushan (55 wickets in 2025) for the 2026 season.
2nd XI: Following promotion in 2024, the team successfully consolidated their Premier League status in 2025, serving as a vital bridge for our rising junior talent.
3rd XI: Competing in the Craven and District Cricket League, this side offers our youngest players their first vital taste of senior competitive cricket.
The Queen Bees: Our Women & Girls’ section is a runaway success. Formed in 2024, they won their league and a regional cup in their debut year. In 2025, they secured a 2nd place finish in Division 1. For 2026, we are expanding to include an Under-18 girls’ hardball team.

A Legacy of Excellence
Wagon Lane has been a proving ground for international icons. We are proud to have been a part of the journeys of:
Current Internationals: Harry Brook (England), Adil Rashid (England), and Noman Ali (Pakistan).
Ashes Heroes & County Stars: Matthew Hoggard, Gareth Batty, and former Yorkshire Captain (and our current groundsman) Neil Hartley.
Global Talent: Our 2024 overseas player, Loren Steenkamp, is currently representing Namibia in the 2026 T20 World Cup.
