Lucy has been training in karate since May 2016 and is one of the longest-standing and most accomplished members of the Tournament Squad.

Her 2025 season was a standout, highlighted by winning Silver at the World Championships, achieving her 3rd Dan, and helping her team defeat a very strong Romanian squad in Dundee to take Gold — a result that showed both individual excellence and teamwork at the highest level.

When she’s not on the mats, Lucy is usually at work or hunting down the best online clothes sales — always busy, always focused.

Lucy brings experience, leadership, and a fierce competitive spirit to the squad, and 2026 will be another major year as she continues to compete on the international stage.

Lucy is a member of our Tournament Squad, a specialist group of athletes with the opportunity to compete at regional, national, and international level.

Alongside regular karate classes, squad members also attend additional high-performance training focused on:

• Competition tactics

• Advanced technical development

• Physical conditioning

• Mental preparation for tournaments

This extra training prepares athletes for the demands of elite-level competition — and it also comes with additional costs.

To keep the squad accessible, athletes only pay a small contribution.

The remainder is covered by a limited number of Training Supporter Sponsorships.

Each £50 sponsorship directly supports Lucy’s:

• Specialist squad coaching

• Facility hire

• Performance training sessions

• 2026 competition preparation

Only four sponsorships are available for Lucy for the 2025 season.
