Top Kayaking/Canoeing Moment: Becoming World Champion (Ponte de Lima, 2022).

Proudest Kayaking/Canoeing Moment: Coming back to international racing after a tough few years (and a lock down!), achieving multiple international medals. All the more special as myself, Dan Johnson (boyfriend & coach) and the training group achieved this together.

Day Job: Student / Charity Administration

Where you can find me when not on the water: Gym! Or the University library! I also work at a local Nottinghamshire charity, helping elderly and disabled residents live independently at home. I set up and headed a befriending service over lockdown that reached over 100 lonely residents, which was really eye opening.

The only canoeist amongst our elite group of paddler, this season Beth achieved two silver medals at the European Marathon Championships in Silkeborg, Denmark. At the Senior Sprint European and World Championships she placed 6th and 10th respectively in the Olympic discipline C2 500m. During the season she has claimed six National titles.

At the beginning of October, Beth won the Canoe Marathon Short Course World Championships, a huge victory for her after all the years of work Next season she aims to qualify the Olympic quota places and then go on to compete at the Olympics in Paris 2024. Alongside this she will work towards more World and European medals.
