Darcey began her karate journey in October 2020 and has rapidly developed into one of the standout competitors in the Tournament Squad.

Her biggest achievement to date came in 2025, when she became World Champion, winning Gold at the World Championships — a remarkable result that reflects her talent, discipline, and relentless commitment to her sport.

When she’s not training in karate, Darcey can often be found at BJJ, continuing to sharpen her skills and competitive mindset across disciplines.

Darcey is a member of our Tournament Squad, a specialist group of athletes with the opportunity to compete at regional, national, and international level.

Alongside regular karate classes, squad members also attend additional high-performance training focused on:

• Mental preparation for tournaments

This extra training prepares athletes for the demands of elite-level competition — and it also comes with additional costs.

To keep the squad accessible, athletes only pay a small contribution.

The remainder is covered by a limited number of Training Supporter Sponsorships.

Each £50 sponsorship directly supports Darcey’s:

• Specialist squad coaching

• Facility hire

• Performance training sessions

• 2026 competition preparation

Only four sponsorships are available for Darcey for the 2026 season.
