Who Are We?
Old Parkonians Association are a Government registered Community Associated Sports Club, the Association runs cricket and rugby clubs from its Clubhouse in Holm Lane, Oxton, based at the HM Curphey Memorial Ground consisting of 500+ members.
Our History:
Old Parkonians is a club built on tradition, passion, and people. Established in 1928 by a group of old Park High School boys with just £15, a 'rugger' ball, and a patch of grass at Noctorum, it began as a modest dream: to create a sporting home not just for former pupils, but for their families, friends, and future generations.
That dream came to life in 1947 with the opening of our club grounds on Holm Lane. Our founding members didn’t just play sport—they dug trenches, laid drains, and mole-drained the pitch by hand. It was never just about rugby or cricket—it was about building something that belonged to the community.
Today, Old Parkonians is a thriving multi-sport club with flourishing men's, women's, and junior sections in both rugby and cricket. The spirit of those early days lives on through the dedication of our volunteers, who still take care of our grounds themselves. Where tea was once served in the garden, you’ll now find friends and families enjoying summer sun on the decking with a glass of prosecco, kids running drills on the outfield, and lifelong connections being made through sport.
We’re proud to host dozens of events each year—birthday parties, community celebrations, and charity fundraisers like our recent MNDA day, which raised over £5,000. Every event, every match, every pint pulled at the clubhouse strengthens our bond with the local community.
But like all grassroots clubs, we face challenges. Our volunteers still do what they can, but there are some jobs that are bigger than us. We’re looking for partners who believe in the value of community sport and want to be part of something built not for profit, but for people.
Old Parkonians: made by members, for members—families, friends, and the future.

Why Sponsor Us?
Sponsoring Old Parkonians is more than just brand placement—it’s a chance to become part of a living, breathing community club with nearly 100 years of history and heart behind it.
We’re proud to be a self-sustaining, volunteer-led club. But with growing numbers across our men’s, women’s, and junior rugby and cricket sections, we’re facing increasing demands—from maintaining pitches and facilities to providing safe, quality equipment and match-day kit for all our teams.
Your sponsorship can help support a wide range of essential projects and ongoing needs, including:
- Match Kits & Training Gear: Supplying our teams—senior and junior alike—with kit they can wear with pride.
- Facilities & Groundwork: From urgent drainage repairs to pitch maintenance, fencing, lighting and clubhouse improvements.
- Junior Development: Supporting coaching, safeguarding, and access to sport for young players from all backgrounds.
- Events & Community Days: Helping us run tournaments, open days, and charity fundraisers that bring people together and raise vital funds for good causes.
In return, sponsors gain prominent visibility through pitch-side signage, branded teamwear, social media shout-outs, and features in club communications. But more than that, you’ll be supporting a club with deep local roots and a strong sense of purpose—where your contribution makes a direct, visible impact.
Whether it's a set of junior match shirts, backing for a drainage upgrade, or support for our next community event—your involvement helps us continue to grow, thrive, and welcome more people into the club we’ve all helped build.
