About us:

Reading Ladies has been established for over 25 years, establishing itself in 1990 as the first women's team in Berkshire and celebrating it's anniversary in 2016. Playing currently in the National Championship South East West 1 league the team is growing in strength after seeing a rise in interest in Women's rugby since the Olympics 7's matches in Brazil, 2016 and the Womens World Cup in Ireland in 2017.

We have always prided ourselves on working and playing hard on the pitch, and having a brilliant time off the pitch! Reading players have played at county, regional and international level over the years and we have a very proud history. We have players of all ages (from 18 to over 40) and of varying experience. We work hard within the club to support and coach junior teams. We have players who also coach the local University of Reading ladies rugby team to expand enjoyment and success at grassroots rugby. We enjoy a very good social life with regular nights out, and let's not forget our annual tour - a highlight of everyone's calendar!

With a team rebrand and rename to Reading Ladies Kites, to aim to differentiate and propel ourselves forward during the 2017/2018 season it's an exciting year as we fight for winning title within the league as well as within the national cup/plate competitions.
