Why King’s College Hospital RFC
King’s College Hospital RFC is one of the founding members of the RFU, and for the past 149 years we have prided ourselves on the quality of our rugby, the social and welcoming nature of the club, and the club’s position in the community. Although we maintain close links with the hospital, KCHRFC is an open club and welcome members from throughout the community. This year we go into our landmark 150th season, in which we will be hosting a range of celebrations, bringing increased exposure to the club and its supporters.
We field a 1st and 2nd men’s XV, with players ranging in age from 18-50+, and in recent years have established a successful juniors team. We also have a keen veterans team who still play regularly. We currently have in excess of 100 playing members, from a wide range of backgrounds and occupations, and it is this diversity that we feel makes us a club that both represents and reflects the local community. We are proud to state that we also have a large alumni worldwide, all of whom retain close links with the club and many of whom return for the big events in the social calendar.
By sponsoring KCHRFC, you will have a great opportunity to become involved in the local community and to support the sport at grassroots level. We carry sponsors’ logos on our shirts, shorts, club equipment and on our website. Many of the players can often be seen out and about in the local community wearing the KCHRFC shirt, meaning that your logo will likely be visible outside of the club as well as on match days. We consider our relationship with our sponsors to be two-way; and we enjoy supporting our sponsors as much as they support us.
There are plenty of opportunities for you to integrate with the club; you will always be made welcome on match days as well as at the Annual Dinner, Sponsor’s Day and Alumni Day. The social calendar for the coming year is currently being confirmed but is certain to be bigger than ever as we celebrate our 150th anniversary, and is likely to kick off this summer with a community open day at the club, to further cement our position as the community rugby club in Dulwich.
