Why Dunstablians RUFC
Dunstablians Rugby Football Club
Dunstablians has been an established rugby club within the East Midlands since 1948, playing at numerous grounds before settling in 1985 at the location it now occupies. Dunstablians has provided rugby playing opportunities to many over the years and seeks to continue do so into the future.
We believe sponsorship of our club will deliver value based on a marketing investment for financial return, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), or for the love of the club.
Whatever your motivation, find out more below. Thank you for visiting our profile.
Why Sponsor Us:
Dunstablians Rugby Club principally relies on the generosity of local individuals & businesses to provide funding to run as efficiently as possible. Without these contributions the club would not be able to exist in its current form or be able to achieve the goals it has set for itself in the medium to long term.
The club runs as close to a not-for-profit as possible; essentially our commitment is to reinvest our profits into the club, for the good of the community. We aim to have low overheads which means we can scale our annual investment to meet our ambitions. We aim to be self-sufficient each season to provide sustainable conditions for the club to operate well into the future, whilst creating the environment for club growth within the community.
We operate within Bedfordshire, a few miles from the town of Dunstable which we take our name from. The club has a fantastic opportunity following building approval of over 6000 new houses being built around the club opening up huge opportunities to become a central community focal point.
The club has a flexible approach to sponsorship, with perks ranging from but are not limited to:
- logo & link on social media posts and websites pages
- physical advertisement on club assets
- opportunities to advertise at club events
- priority access to England tickets through club
- captive audience of club members for exclusive business promotions
- invites to club events
Alternative/supplementary perks can be arranged through negotiation dependent on the level of sponsor commitment
Whilst we are a small community club, we are committed to giving you and your company the exposure and promotion you deserve. We recognise that without your support many of our lads would not be enjoying their rugby at the weekend!
The club is embracing the potential that a small town will be built around it, making it a community centre for the many thousands of families that will be able to take advantage of the club. The club has a thriving mini and junior section, able to boast at least one team in each age group, along with a dedicated girls section, an under 19s side and 2 regular senior teams, a vets side. There is an embedded passion for rugby and dedication to local success in all, taking strides to refresh aspects of the club across the board. The club is moving away from a low income, low spend model towards a more integrated, sustainable model to deliver longer term growth through local partnerships and sponsorships rather than being bankrolled a single wealthy benefactor.
These changes are beginning to take effect, with green shoots of promise showing after two years of redevelopment. Improved financial health, increased participation & new community ties are evidence that the steps the club has taken is beginning to manifest itself in setting the right foundations for future prosperity.
Our links with the community and assisting in providing training for youth rugby helps to tick the boxes when it comes to social responsibility for the club, and its sponsors.
We anticipate that this is just the start of a new beginning, with a bright future ahead.
On the pitch, the club’s ambition is to build on the progression seen both on and off the pitch into 2020-21. We are aiming for promotion in the coming years and seek to grow both our players and club. Off the pitch, there are aspirations to build upon and foster stronger community links and local partnerships with a view to providing a community centred club for future generations to join, support and enjoy into the future.
