About us:

Doncaster Phoenix RUFC:

WHY SPONSOR US?

Doncaster Phoenix RUFC is a community sports club based in Doncaster, Yorkshire.

We believe sponsorship of our club will deliver value based on a marketing investment for financial return, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), or for the love of the club.

Whatever your motivation, find out more below. Thank you for visiting our profile.

Audience:

We have around 80 male adult players, 40 adult female players, and a further 50 "social" members - however we attract a much wider audience as we are based and play our games at Castle Park -home of Championship side Doncaster Knights - they attract crowds of around 2,000 and regularly host high level games like the England u-20's and England Womens side in recent seasons. So, supporting Doncaster Phoenix is a good way of getting a brand name in front of a lot of people!

Facilities:

Training sessions for Phoenix with our excellent coaching team take place every Tuesday and Thursday evening during the season at Castle Park, whilst the Demons train on Wednesday evenings and anyone looking to play a good standard of rugby is welcome to join us.

Today:

Doncaster Phoenix R.U.F.C. stands as an independent club allied to Doncaster Knights.

The club regularly aims to run two senior teams (aspirations for three), an occasional Veterans team, the Dragons and our ladies’ team the Demons – but it is also our intention to encourage more player participation leading to an increase in teams playing, hopefully on a regular basis.

We cater for players who for whatever reason do not wish or are not ready to pursue a full-time career in professional rugby; a case in point being any player who wishes to play rugby at a good level whilst concurrently studying or progressing a career outside of the game.

However also attracting young players from the local community, particularly former Doncaster Colts and those attending Doncaster Academy, is fundamental to our future development. This approach also offers a distinctly different opportunity to young players to the one offered by professional clubs.

Whilst being very professional in our training, coaching and administrative methodology we retain a traditional club ethos by promoting a strong, sustainable social community within and thus affording players and their families the opportunity of forming lifelong friendships.

The club currently has 3 senior mens teams and 1 senior women's, which we hope to continue growing over the coming seasons.

The club has a flexible approach to sponsorship, with perks ranging from but are not limited to:

- logo & link on social media posts and websites pages

-  physical advertisement on club assets, providing exposure to players and spectators which will also be advertised through our social media

- opportunities to advertise at club events, to an audience wider than our existing membership base

- captive audience of club members for exclusive business promotions, driving top-line sales

Alternative/supplementary perks can be arranged through negotiation dependent on the level of sponsor commitment, budget and your business objectives.

We are committed to giving you and your company the exposure and promotion you deserve. We recognise that without your support many of our club members would not be enjoying their sport at the weekend!

Aspirations:

The club is very progressive with a clear vision of playing the highest standard of rugby attainable by a club adopting professional standards. Having achieved back-to-back promotions from Yorkshire Division One and North One East our First XV now play National League rugby presently in the fifth tier of the RFU league structure.

History:

During the late 70’s and 80’s the club (formerly known as Bridon RUFC) regularly fielded two and three teams and recruited players from across the local area at Wheatley Hall Road.

Having settled at Castle Park years later, the natural name change to Doncaster Phoenix took place and the rest is history.

After a visit to Twickenham in 2008 to compete in the EDF Energy Junior Vase Final, the club have advanced at a pace over the last ten years that has seen them progress from playing rugby in Yorkshire Division Three, gaining various promotions and now holding their own at National League level.
