About us:

Billericay Rugby Club

Hello and welcome to the official SNAP Sponsorship profile of Billericay RFC.

We're delighted to announce that we’ve now partnered with SNAP Sponsorship and we’re looking for sponsors who are excited about affiliating themselves with an esteemed Essex rugby club. In return, we’re offering not just increased brand awareness, corporate social responsibility and a return on investment, but also the chance to get involved in the local community, building partnerships, networks and trust.

Whatever your motivation, find out more below. Thank you for visiting our profile.

Why Sponsor Us?

Increased brand awareness

Billericay RFC has an array of sponsorship opportunities which can be tailored to meet your objectives. Perfect for local businesses, your advertising will be seen by over 35k people per season. Through sponsorship, our club will promote your company in a wide variety of ways, increasing your brand awareness, and therefore enriching the profile of your business.

Get involved in grassroots sport and connect with our community

Sponsorship of a grassroots sport delivers a much higher return on investment than traditional advertising. This is because sponsorship allows your business to become directly involved in activities that are highly valued by local consumers. Consumers are known to form strong positive associations with sponsors who support the development of grassroots sport and contribute to the local community. With eight out of ten consumers preferring to believe in what a company does rather than what it says, it’s easy to see why many businesses are choosing to sponsor clubs such as ours as a way of maximising their marketing return.

Expansive clientele connectivity

Do you want to connect with an enhanced target audience? Billericay RFC has an extensive network of members which is structured through our numerous players, supporters and employees. We also have the capacity to host sponsored events for up to 250 people. Through sponsorship, our club will provide effective promotional services to link potential clients and future customers to the products, services and experiences that you supply.

Please notify the club if there are any sponsorship opportunities which are not currently present on our SNAP profile. To register your interest in any of our sponsorship packages please contact our SNAP Sponsorship profile or an official club representative directly.

The Club Today

Billericay RFC runs two men’s senior teams on a Saturday with our first XV competing in the Counties Two — Essex Division and our second XV competing in the Essex Merit League Division. We have a third XV for monthly social/vets’ fixtures and an Academy for our up-and-coming Essex seniors.

But we’re not just a club for men's senior rugby. To support our long-term ambitions and sustainability we have our Princess Bees youth teams, our Baby Bees, for pre-school 3 and 4-year-olds, Under 5/6’s and a team for every year right up to our U18s or Academy.

The club organises various events throughout the season. The most popular being BeeFestival. Held on the last weekend of April, a charity match, touch rugby tournament, Beer Festival and BBQ are some of the activities on show for all the family.

We welcome everyone from youngsters to veterans to come along and take up or re-engage with the game at Billericay Rugby Club.

History

Billericay Rugby Football Club (BRFC) was formed in late 1959 by members of the St Johns Cricket Club with whom BRFC still share the Willowbrook Sports Ground. BRFCs first full fixture took place in February 1960 versus a Brentwood XV and since then the club has built steadily, maintaining an enjoyable but highly competitive outlook both on and off the pitch.

On April 17, 1999, the rugby club became the first Eastern Counties side to play in a cup final at the home of English Rugby, Twickenham. Billericay took on Silhillians of the Midlands and won 19-3. Billericay were supported by approximately 10,000 people on finals day. Billericay amazingly repeated this feat in 2007 and played Hartpury College, a feeder club to Premiership side Gloucester, in a final at Twickenham on May 12, 2007. Losing 75-12 and becoming the only team to score more than 6 points against them all season.
