The Club Today

Mendip Golf Club has been described as the best Golf Club in North Somerset and we have received that accolade for good reason. We have an exceptional venue for our members and visitors, hosting a pristine 18-hole course, which is maintained in perfect condition by our experienced ground staff. The club also has an exquisite catering facility that is specifically designed for intimate individual dining experiences or fabulous, full-scale celebratory functions such as Birthdays and Weddings. Furthermore, we also regularly hold a wide range of corporate functions such as business networking events and company conferences which are tailored and managed in accordance with personal requirements.

Aspirations

Mendip Golf Club has great aspirations for the future. We are currently in the process of making advancements to our facilities with the installation of a state of the art 8-bay driving range. This will revolutionise our training area and allow our members to keep active and enjoy the sport whatever age they may be. We are a club that is also extremely focused on growing the game of golf so that it may be as accessible for every individual. This is why our club is proudly affiliated with organisations such as England Golf, The PGA, The Golf Foundation and Golf Access which create pathways for youths from all backgrounds to get started in the sport. Furthermore, the club has also signed the R&A Women in Golf Charter to do all in our power to ensure that Golf is inclusive to Women and Girls. As well as being a 'SafeGolf' golf club, we pride ourselves on an inclusive approach to golf and ensure that all our golfers feel safe whilst at Mendip Golf Club.

History

Mendip Golf Club was established in 1908. During that period the club hosted around 20 members from the local community, highlighting what an exclusive sport Golf was. However, those times have thankfully passed and today we are proud to host over 700 members which showcase how far our club and the sport have transitioned. The club is proudly partnered with certified organisations such as England Golf and Somerset Golf Union which all share a common ethos with our own club - in which the game of Golf is for everyone.
