Unicorn Athletic Junior Football Club

Established in 1977, Unicorn Athletic JFC is one of Traffords most renowned junior football clubs, run entirely by volunteers and relying on sponsorship, donations and our fundraising events to help us maintain affordable football for all.

We believe sponsorship of our club will deliver value based on a marketing investment for financial return, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), or for the love of the club.

Audience: Our forty seven teams play in a number of leagues with matches played throughout Greater Manchester and Cheshire. Our striking kit, with your company logo, can provide your business with the opportunity to build brand-loyalty within these areas. Facilities: Our main pitch is situated within Smiths Fields, Timperely, a local public park which is very popular in our community. Our changing rooms and pitchside advertising facility means that any advertisement for your business will gain traction with an audience wider than the club itself.

Today:

Throughout the club, Unicorn Athletic JFC's ideals reflect sports core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. Our long standing reputation is that the club is being warm and friendly, providing good quality sport for all.

Whilst we are ambitious, we also have a strong family ethos, derived from a commitment to youth sport for all age groups. Furthermore, the club continues to develop strong links with local charities.

All this is underwritten by a diverse sponsor base, at a variety of different levels, which aids the club’s financial stability and adds value to our audience.

Aspirations:

With membership rising, we have ambitious plans to develop the infrastructure at the club, to include the re-development of our changing room/clubhouse and 3G all weather training hub. This will allow Unicorn Athletic JFC to firstly become a more integral part of the local community and also a destination venue providing sports and leisure facilities to a much wider audience. Naturally, we want to support our sponsors and build them in to our club on a strategic level, allowing any partner to benefit from our ever-improving facilities, expanding audience and our community involvement.

On the pitch, the club’s ambition is to maintain our playing reputation and consolidate our 'Football for All' philosophy. 

History:

Unicorn Athletic JFC  = 1975 - Present

A founder member of local junior football leagues, the club has grown exponentially over the years in line with Football Association initiatives with small sided teams, our popular girls section, open age adults team, veterans team and our recently formed walking football squad offering football for our community for boys and girls aged between four and sixty four years old!

Over the years, our teams have experienced much success in leagues, cups and one off tournaments. Our ethos is not win at all costs but we successfully form teams where players can compete successfully at their level.
