About us:
Old Pepys Football Club
Hello and welcome to the official SNAP Sponsorship profile of Old Pepys Football Club.
We're delighted to announce that we’ve now partnered with SNAP Sponsorship and we’re looking for sponsors who are excited about affiliating themselves with a South London grassroots football club that was set up specifically to provide an environment for men to be active and encourage positive mental health within team sports.
We strive to craft a partnership with our sponsors that meets their specific objectives, whether that be community gifting, social responsibility (CSR), direct sales or brand building.
We’ll work with you to develop a partnership which meets both your objectives and adds value to our members — supporting our club’s ongoing work in the community to remove barriers and make sport enjoyable, accessible and sustainable for all.
Whatever your motivation, find out more below. Thank you for visiting our profile.
Why Sponsor Us?
Increased brand awareness
Do you want to raise the profile of your organisation? Old Pepys Football Club has an array of sponsorship opportunities which can be tailored to meet your objectives. Through sponsorship, our club will promote your company in a wide variety of ways, increasing your brand awareness, and therefore enriching the profile of your business.
Participation in team sports improves self-esteem, mental discipline and social skills
Old Pepys Football Club make training and development fun and we encourage our players to support each other and we celebrate achievements and success as a club.
Although exercise and sport in general can have incredible effects on people’s mental health and wellbeing, research has shown that there are more impactful mental health benefits of team sports. With an increased number of people turning to the digital world and obesity at an all-time high, there’s an outcry for regular exercise more than ever. Just 75 minutes of exercise a week can help avoid chronic diseases like arthritis, heart disease and diabetes. It’s also a proven positive way for individuals from our community to deal with personal issues through playing sport.
We’d love for you to get involved and see the positive impact football can have on players.
Help to remove economic barriers making sport affordable and sustainable for all
Old Pepys Football Club have always believed that football should be affordable and accessible to all no matter their age, gender, ability, race or disability and sponsorship of a grassroots sport like ours can remove accessibility barriers and make sport affordable and sustainable for all.
Sponsorship of a grassroots sport also delivers a much higher return on investment than traditional advertising. This is because sponsorship allows your business to become directly involved in activities that are highly valued by local consumers.
Consumers are known to form strong positive associations with sponsors who support the development of grassroots sport and contribute to the local community. With eight out of ten consumers preferring to believe in what a company does rather than what it says, it’s easy to see why many businesses are choosing to sponsor clubs like ours as a way of maximising their marketing return.
By directly supporting us, you’re helping to remove economic barriers — making sport affordable and sustainable for all.

The Club Today
The club have made good progress in their sponsorship endeavours. We reached out to local business owners and soon found sponsorship in the shape of The Dog and Bell, a public house in Deptford and a small independently owned restaurant in Wandsworth called Blue Mountain London. They both helped ensure we were as equipped as possible to take on competitive football.
We began our season in September 2021 and soon found we had more available players than we anticipated. This is when we started to look into the possibility of forming a 2nd XI. Whilst doing this, we were able to start our charity squad and we soon came across enough men under 35 to start trials for our Sunday team.
All of these teams have been successful with our charity side being winners in three out of the five occasions they have taken to the field. They’ve raised over £1500 for various charities so far. Our 2nd XI and Sunday team have both recently been initiated into competitive football and we’re proud to have secured a strong footing going forward in just under two years with a growth rate of 200%.
Aspirations
We currently have around 100 members and with player numbers rising, we have ambitious plans to continue to develop our club and invest in infrastructure and pitches. Ideally, we’d like to find a permanent home so that we can grow our teams and we’re hopeful of starting a women’s side too.
Naturally, we want to support our sponsors and build them in to our club on a strategic level — allowing all of our partners to benefit from our ever-improving facilities, an expanding audience and our community involvement.
History
Old Pepys was founded amidst the global pandemic and was set up with the aim of helping people who suffer from poor mental health to get active, starting with men over 35. Since then, Old Pepys have gone from strength to strength. We started out holding open trials and soon generated enough interest to enter The Southern Vets Football League based in South London, Kent and Surrey.
