About us:

Mondial Football Club

Hello and welcome to the official SNAP Sponsorship profile of Mondial FC.

We're delighted to announce that we’ve now partnered with SNAP Sponsorship and we’re looking for sponsors who are excited about affiliating themselves with a fast-growing grassroots football club on the London/Surrey border.

We strive to craft a partnership with our sponsors that meets their specific objectives, whether that be community gifting, social responsibility (CSR), direct sales or brand building.

We’ll work with you to develop a partnership which meets both your objectives and adds value to our members — supporting our club’s ongoing work in the community to remove barriers and make sport enjoyable, accessible and sustainable for all.

Whatever your motivation, find out more below. Thank you for visiting our profile.

Why Sponsor Us?

We’re growing fast and we want to take you with us!

Mondial FC is rapidly growing in size and with our determination to make this a fully inclusive club, we have big ambitions to add a number of teams to our football family. These will include boys and girls U16s/U17s teams; an adult women’s team; men’s and women’s Saturday teams as well as a veterans’ team.

As we grow, your audience will grow too and there will be plenty of chances for networking and engaging with our extensive network of players, supporters, volunteers and employees.

Mondial FC has an array of sponsorship opportunities which can be tailored to meet your objectives. Through sponsorship, our club will promote your company in a wide variety of ways enriching the profile of your business in our community.

Participation in team sports improves self-esteem, mental discipline and social skills

Mondial FC make training and development fun, we encourage our players to support each other and we celebrate individual achievements and success as a whole.

Although exercise and sport in general can have an incredible effect on people’s mental health and wellbeing, research has shown that there are more impactful mental health benefits of team sports.

In addition to wellbeing and the physical benefits of team sports, there are also valuable life skills and lessons young people can learn including manners, respect and boundaries on and off the pitch; practising persistence, meeting new friends and boosting confidence.

We’d love for you to get involved and see the positive impact football can have on players.

Get involved in grassroots sport and remove economic barriers making sport affordable and accessible for all

Sponsorship of a grassroots sport delivers a much higher return on investment than traditional advertising. This is because sponsorship allows your business to become directly involved in activities that are highly valued by local consumers.

Consumers are known to form strong positive associations with sponsors who support the development of grassroots sport and contribute to the local community. With eight out of ten consumers preferring to believe in what a company does rather than what it says, it’s easy to see why many businesses are choosing to sponsor clubs like ours as a way of maximising their marketing return.

By directly supporting us, you’re helping to remove economic barriers — making sport affordable and inclusive for all.

Our Club Today

Mondial Football Club are a grassroots Sunday football club with two male adult teams. The As play in the Leatherhead & District Sunday Football League, Division 2 and the Bs in the Southern Sunday Football League, Division 7.

We’re embarking on a pathway to evolve our club, and expand it into an inclusive institution, nurturing young talent, as well as providing a platform for aspiring coaches, and adult players into team sports.

This season saw us create a second team, who are performing beyond expectation. Next season our aim is to start a youth team of Under 16/17s, as we’ve discovered locally, that there is a gap for most young people when they become too mature for junior soccer, but too young for senior football. Our incentive is to give this young talent an outlet, and a continuous pathway from that level, into adult football.

Who are Mondial FC?

Mondial — pronounced: MON-DEE-AL — was formed in the summer of 1985, as a new second team to parent club, Italia Wasteels FC.

In 1988, we separated from Wasteels, to become independent and forge our own history. The mid 1990s was a halcyon period in our history, with league and multiple cup final honours to follow.

At the turn of the new millennium, and a brief hiatus from league football, Mondial returned to competitive soccer, in the guise of a veterans’ team. Success eventually followed, as well as our evolution from vets to open-aged football.

Today, success on the pitch continues, as we attain more cup victories.

In order to realise our ambitions, we see sponsorship from local business or further afield, as the way forward.

What’s in it for you?

Our success is your success! As our brand grows, whether it be on or off the pitch, our association with you will bring about recognition, not just to us, but to your brand also.

Your name will be visible on all our apparel and social media platforms, including our website.

We’re happy to offer different types of sponsorship packages to suit individual requirements.

Our Club History

Mondial FC started life in the second division of the (now departed) Anglo Italian League. Playing out of South East London, we won two division two titles.

After four years of being under Wasteels wing, the then players decided to become independent and leave the protection of our parent club, to fend for themselves.

The mid-1990s brought about league and cup success, with the club completing a magnificent league and cup treble (even before Manchester Utd).

In 2008, Mondial became a Vets team, playing in the Morden District Sunday Vets Div. 2.

2013 saw the club achieve another milestone and complete a League & Cup double, ending up as top goal scorers, and least goals conceded.

In 2015, Mondial joined the Leatherhead and District Sunday Football League, where we have progressed through the divisions from 7 to Division 1.

Along the way, in the 2018/19 season we won another cup final. Last year however, we lost the Intermediate Challenge Cup final to the impressive Carshalton All Stars.

The 2022 season has seen us create a new side under the Mondial umbrella. Mondial B, play in the Southern Sunday Football League, and have started the season with excellent results. Challenging on all fronts this season — two domestic cups and a league title — the ‘newbies’ — have the potential for a memorable inaugural season.

With membership and crowd attendances rising, we have ambitious plans to expand our club to include youth football for girls and boys, giving them a pathway to senior adult football. We'd also like to acquire a women’s adult team. Our biggest ambition is to have our own private facility, which we'd have as our own base, but operate as a business  — offering facilities to the community, i.e. social, sports and fitness/wellbeing and corporate/conferencing etc.

Mondial is embarking on a number of ambitious projects to evolve the club into a more inclusive and diverse institution.

Naturally, we want to support our sponsors and build them in to our club on a strategic level — allowing all of our partners to benefit from our ever-improving facilities, expanding audience and our community involvement.
