Participation in team sports improves self-esteem, mental discipline and social skills
Everett Rovers FC make training and development fun and we encourage our players to support each other and we celebrate achievements and success as a club.
Although exercise and sport in general can have incredible effects on people’s mental health and wellbeing, research has shown that there are more impactful mental health benefits of team sports.
With an increased number of youngsters turning to the digital world and obesity at an all-time high, there’s an outcry for regular exercise more than ever. Just 75 minutes of exercise a week can help avoid chronic diseases like arthritis, heart disease and diabetes.
In addition to well-being and the physical benefits of team sports, there are also valuable life skills and lessons young people can learn including manners, respect and boundaries on and off the pitch; practising persistence, meeting new friends and boosting confidence.
We’d love for you to get involved and see the positive impact football can have on players.
Help to remove economic barriers by making sport affordable and sustainable for all
Everett Rovers FC has always believed that football should be affordable and accessible to all no matter their age, gender, ability, race or disability and sponsorship of a grassroots sport like ours can remove accessibility barriers and make sport affordable and sustainable for all.
Sponsorship of a grassroots sport also delivers a much higher return on investment than traditional advertising. This is because sponsorship allows your business to become directly involved in activities that are highly valued by local consumers.
Consumers are known to form strong positive associations with sponsors who support the development of grassroots sport and contribute to the local community. With eight out of ten consumers preferring to believe in what a company does rather than what it says, it’s easy to see why many businesses are choosing to sponsor clubs like ours as a way of maximising their marketing return.
By directly supporting us, you’re helping to remove economic barriers — making sport affordable and sustainable for all.

The Club Today
Everett Rovers FC, is a fast-growing, friendly and not-for-profit FA Charter Standard football club with the highest standards of coaching, safety and child welfare.
Since we were founded in 1997 the journey has been both challenging and uplifting with many people supporting our club’s development to help us get to where we are today.
We’re an inclusive and progressive local community-based football club in the heart of Watford which offers both youth and adult football, led by accredited FA coaches.
We facilitate local children’s development through football in a positive, friendly and safe environment. We believe that children should have the opportunity to play and learn through football helping them to develop their personal, social and physical skills. All our coaches are FA accredited. We currently have an active membership of over 200 children and it is increasing. Our fantastic facilities allow for growth so our door is always open!
We are easily accessible being at the heart of Watford (located just off the A41 in Dodd Road which is very near to the M25 and M1) and we have plenty of parking.
We have our own ground and 7 pitches which are maintained to an extremely high standard. We can also boast a recently built Everett clubhouse with bar, clubroom, changing rooms, storage areas, kitchen and toilets. We have a dedicated coordinator and we regularly host social events for our members and organise and entertain local events with a max capacity of 120 people and a fully stocked and licenced bar; it's the perfect venue for parties, events and business networking.
We’re a large club with 30 teams including a development squad, teams for U7—U18, senior and inclusive teams for men, women, boys and girls with disabilities.
We’re affiliated to the West Herts League, with matches local to Watford, Hemel Hempstead and the St Albans area.
We have long, well-established links with Watford Community Trust, Watford FC's charitable arm.
We’re extremely grateful for all the support provided by so many volunteers on our journey so far, who have been recognised on our Roll of Honours List, in our fabulous clubhouse; just a small token of the club's gratitude and appreciation.
We're proud of our history and excited about the future! We do hope you’ll join us and become a part of it.
We are Everett Rovers FC and we care!
Club History
The Start of Everett Rovers FC
The club was formed as Everett Rovers FC in March 1997 when a group of local parents decided to go it alone and move away from Herons Youth FC. They held their first meeting at The Bill Everett Community Centre in Watford.
The Community Centre was officially named in honour of Bill Everett a local man who was well known and respected in the Watford area and served as a local councillor.
Bill’s valued contributions across Watford were recognised widely by many which led him to eventually take up the prestigious position of Mayor of Watford in 1974. He was an avid football fan and became the President of Watford Football Club. He was a huge Hornet fan who also loved Watford very much! Everett Rovers FC was born!
Aspirations
With player numbers rising, we have ambitious plans to continue to develop our club and invest in infrastructure and pitches.
We are currently in the process of applying for a grant from the Football Foundation to build a 3G astroturf facility at our ground. We need to generate £200k of our own funds towards the cost of the build. We currently have a JustGiving page that provides details of the astroturf build:
https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/everettroversfc3G
Naturally, we want to support our sponsors and build them into our club on a strategic level — allowing all of our partners to benefit from our ever-improving facilities, an expanding audience and our community involvement.
