Club History
The Club/Academy was formed nearly 10 years ago and was originally based in Bournemouth as Diamond International Soccer Schools. The name changed in 2018 as Diamond International sports academy. Chris the Chairman/Director has over 38 years in the football industry as an academy youth player and professional player with Weymouth FC as well as having trails at Arsenal at the age of 17.
Over the years he has had the opportunity to coach at PSV Eindoven, FC Bruges and played/managed at a semi pro level. The ethos is to develop young players to a standard that gives them every chance learn life skills, providing sports education to perform at a high level and pursue a career in football as a player or within the football industry in general.
We have a structure as to professional academies, foundation, development and academy for school years 6-11. We have been league champions for four consecutive years from 2017/18 season winning four Tournaments.
We have produced three players in the last six years under the guidance of Chris Head Academy coach into semi pro clubs. Sponsors have several sponsor packages available from match ball to full club or squad sponsorship. We wish to develop an environment for 16 – 18s scholarship which we can do post graduate courses alongside the football in a study environment.
Aspirations
We have impressive plans to continue to develop the infrastructure at our club. Naturally, we want to support our sponsors and build them into the club on a strategic level, allowing any partner to benefit from our ever-improving facilities, expanding audience and our community engagement.
Our end goal is to establish a home of our own, to give more presence as an individual club instead of competing with other clubs on the same site. Alternatively, we would like to secure sponsorship to open an indoor soccer centre of which we are prepared to give sponsors a share within that site if the sponsorship donation is above £30,000.
