About us:

We are a Grassroots Community Football Club in the Didsbury area of Manchester. The club operates as closely as possible as a Not-for-Profit organisation; our commitment is to reinvest in the club for the benefit of our members and the wider community. We aspire to be self-sufficient each season in order to ensure we continue to provide a grassroots football provision for all. We are FA Charter Standard and we were recently awarded the Equality Standard Club Accreditation from Kick it Out, tackling racism and discrimination.

Why sponsor us?

We are a fresh & current Grassroots Football Club that is innovative, creative with great ambition, and we are looking for likeminded sponsors to join us on that journey. Our Club is built from a wide range of backgrounds with an ever increasing reach.

Our hard work, improved standards, and established relationships with the likes of UCFB, MCRActive, Manchester FA allows us to provide the benefits that potential sponsors would expect from their investment.

All club attire will be supplied by NIKE through KITLOCKER to ensure our professional image. Your business would be either on or associated with this professional image.

We aim to become 1 of the 1000 clubs that the FA will support in creating Player Pathway Plans from Youth football all the way through to adult football. We will ensure a seamless transition and identify talented players that have the ability to play at a higher level. We want to be 1 of the 150 community football hubs with male and female pathways, disability and recreational playing opportunities

The club has a flexible approach to sponsorship, with opportunities ranging from, but not limited to:

-Company logo & link on social media posts and website's sponsors' page

-Physical advertisement on club assets

-Opportunities to advertise on Matchday via our media team

-We support members of the community that stem from socio-economic backgrounds to ensure that a football provision is on offer to all

-Exposure with local football associations and educational establishments that are linked to the club

-Invitations to club events

-Brand exposure aligned with community cohesion initiatives

Alternative/supplementary perks can be arranged through negotiation, dependent on the level of sponsor commitment.

We have Saturday & Sunday provision to ensure that we accommodate all levels/ability to our expanding membership base.

In partnership with The University Campus of Football & Business we have placement agreements to support students in negotiating their degree courses whilst practically supporting the club.

We are also proud to be Partner Provider with McrActive, and a Manchester FA Charter Standard Club.

Short term

Increase of our provision, ensuring high level coaching with professional standards across the club. Increased partnerships with educational establishments and other networks to ensure that all relevant support is available to our members.

Medium term

Locate & identify potential land for development of AFC Didsbury Villa's Clubhouse & pitches. We have a full 10 year plan already drafted.

Continue to build our support network with local council and other establishments, increasing our support for our members, especially those from disadvantaged demographics in our community. Work with Greater Manchester Police to build community relations and use football as the vehicle to tackle lawlessness.

Continuously review our youth system for girls & boys to ensure that there is a seamless transition from the Foundation phase to Development phase and beyond

Long term

Utilise our community serving facilities and highly developed workforce to deliver accredited qualifications. Establish an Academy provision for education and sport, alongside our continued high level grassroots offer, that will include a team in the football pyramid. Expand our player pathway to include partnerships with clubs higher placed in the pyramid alongside our existing, solid partners.

Our mission is to be the most community focused football club in the Manchester area.

The club was founded in May 2019, working with the Manchester FA to identify the gap between youth & adult football. AFC Didsbury Villa envisage bridging the gap and offering a seamless transition from youth to adult football provision within the community. We acquired the relevant accreditations including the prestigious FA Charter Standard. We continue to grow on a weekly basis, now well past 100 active members.
