Why Manchester Bees Dodgeball Club
About us:
Manchester Bees Dodgeball Club
We are a grassroots community dodgeball club based in Greater Manchester. Our club operates as close to possible as a not-for-profit organisation with our commitment to reinvest our profits back into the club for the benefits of all members.
The club was formed in 2013 by ex-university players who wanted to create a fun and inclusive club for those that didn’t have access to the sport through school or university routes. We were the first dodgeball club in the country to gain a club mark accreditation and are currently the largest non-university dodgeball club in the UK.
Why Sponsor Us?
We are the largest non-university club in the UK and were the first dodgeball club in the UK to achieve the prestigious club mark award. We have achieved so much in a short space of time but our ambitions don’t stop there. We’re looking for a like minded business that can join us on the next stage of our growth journey.
While dodgeball is a niche sport it is also one of the fastest growing sports in the UK which gives the opportunity for sponsors to have a huge reach but without the sponsorship costs of some more traditional sports such as rugby or football.
The club has a flexible approach to sponsorship, with opportunities ranging from, but not limited to:
-Company logo & link on social media posts and website's sponsors' page with regular mentions on social media
-We support a junior academy with opportunities to sponsor their kit as well. This would allow your brand to target under 18s or parents should they be your target market.
-Exposure with other local dodgeball clubs, including university teams and educational establishments that are linked to the club
-Invitations to club events
-Brand exposure aligned with community cohesion initiatives
Alternative/supplementary perks can be arranged through negotiation, dependent on the level of sponsor commitment.
Digital:
We understand the importance of social media for brands/businesses, and utilise Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and have a total following over 3000. This is a great base for building brand awareness and exposure.
We aim to grow this following over the next year.
Audience:
At Manchester Bees believe in helping to grow the sport of dodgeball, we do this by partnering with smaller clubs in Greater Manchester and through our junior academy. The club has 77 members ranging in age from 18 to 40 but with our junior academy we also have sponsorship opportunities that can reach both school age children and parents.
Facilities:
We currently use two facilities to train at twice a week, being - Moss Side Leisure Centre and Trinity Sports Centre. Both are situated in central Manchester.
Current:
We have had great success in tournaments in both a regional and national level, our elite teams play in national leagues which will mean a sponsors brand can have a huge reach not just limited to Greater Manchester.
We are strong advocates for inclusivity, and host a 'Girls Dodge Too' event annually to ensure this message is spread.
History:
As mentioned prior, Manchester Bees Dodgeball was formed in 2013 by ex university students and we have been evolving ever since.
