About us:

Why Sponsor Us:

Valley End Cricket Club is a registered charity, dedicated to facilitating and supporting the sport of cricket. Our organisation is run by local members that volunteer their time to build and progress our club and sport. We pour all of the funds that we raise back into our club and the sport.

We have a high level of engagement amongst our members and the cricketing community both online and across the local and regional press.

As a club we aspire to deliver value to our members and the community in which we both are based. We have numerous and high ambitions as a club. Our newly built pavilion is expected to become the heart of the local community, a place not just for cricket. It is set in a fantastic surrounding, that you must visit to appreciate.

Where we currently stand:

We have just recently completed a long journey from a small little village club that has since managed to garner national attention through regular league promotion and winning the National Village Cup. Along with the cricketing success, the aspirations of the club’s management has also been ambitious, purchasing land to house two new cricket grounds. We have just completed the building of a new pavilion that is shaping up to be the heart of the local community. We now have three cricket grounds, two pavilions, two net facilities, and are getting ready for the next stage.

Aspirations:

We recently managed to raise enough funds to build a fantastic new pavilion that will be the envy of many cricketers. Longer term, we are looking to build an indoor net facility and develop a cricketing academy to support local talent development. We are currently a host of disability cricket and have been adding girls and ladies teams every year. We aspire to expanding these further.

Further, we would like to attract sponsorship to turn our club green, putting solar panels on our roof, adding electric charging points to our car park, improved water management, etc.

History:

Valley End Cricket Club
1895 – Present

Valley End is a small little hamlet nestled between the tony towns of Windlesham, Chobham and Sunningdale. The club was started in 1895 and has been a central hub of the community ever since. A group of local parents, led by aspiration and high quality progeny led the club up through the ranks of village cricket leagues to the highest level possible. With those cricketing ambitions, the club expanded and expanded. In the 2020 disrupted season, the club has entered 5 teams into the Surrey cricket leagues. Supporting this is a large contingent of Sunday cricket with 4 teams. Adding to the senior cricket every year is a strong youth section, with a full section of age groups from under 8 through to under 17.

We look forward to having you join us and be a part of our fantastic journey.
