About us:

“The Best Beer Garden in Essex” The Times, July 2020.

Established in 1817, Mistley CC is one of East Anglia’s most respected cricket clubs.

The first written evidence of Mistley Cricket Club was in the Ipswich Journal on 20th September 1817 where a home win was reported by the Members of Manningtree and Mistley CC against the Gentlemen of the Kentish Union Club.  Since then, our picturesque ground has witnessed Essex Ladies versus Suffolk ladies on 26th July 1890 and more recently The Times reported that we benefitted from the best beer garden in Essex.  As one of the founder members of the Two Counties Cricket Championship in 1971 we continue to feature prominently in Division One whilst ensuring that we provide competitive cricket for all abilities, ages and gender.

Why Sponsor Us?

With a growing membership and large social media following our club relies on the income generated from members, benefactors and sponsors.  As a not-for-profit volunteer led sports club, we benefit from being able to invest all of our income into the provision of cricket for our members and the wider community.

It is clear that without the help of our volunteers, members and sponsors we would not be able to provide access to the high quality facilities that we currently have at our disposal.

The club has a flexible approach to sponsorship, with opportunities ranging from but are not limited to:

-   Access to social media and websites pages.

-   Advertisements on club assets.

-   Opportunities to advertise at club events.

-   A captive audience of club members for business promotions.

-   Invites to club events.

We are committed to giving you and your company the exposure and promotion you deserve. We recognise that without your support many of our club members would not be enjoying their cricket at the weekend!

Today:

The club conitues to have strong core values, such as Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.  We are respected by our peers as a club known for being warm, friendly and providing good quality cricket for all.

Whilst we are ambitious, both on the pitch and off, we also have a strong family ethos, derived from a commitment to youth cricket for all age groups. Furthermore, the club continues to develop strong links within the local community.

All this is underwritten by a diverse sponsor base, at a variety of different levels, which aids the club’s financial stability.

Our Aspirations:

Our main ambition is to continue the many years of good work by numerous volunteers to ensure that we remain a well run and respected club within the local community and East Anglia.

On the pitch we aspire for both our Men's and Women's senior 1st teams to be competitive with best teams in the East Anglian region whilst improving the quality at all ability levels within the club.

Off the pitch we will continue to build a financially stable sports club that allows our members and visitors to socialise with their families within a safe environment.
