Dereham Cricket Club has been in existence as a club for 165 years. Situated on Norwich Road, in an area immediately adjacent to, and behind the Fire station, it has always served the town and the community well. Following a few years of gradual decline, our committed and enthusiastic committee have changed the outlook and philosophy to create and sustain the kind of progressive club and facility the people of Dereham and its surrounding areas need and  are entitled to expect. We aim to cement the clubs place at the centre of the community - 'A club of which to be proud'.

Today and Future Aspirations.

We run two Men's cricket teams that compete on a Saturday, we have a thriving Youth section with teams throughout the age groups (Under 9's, II's, 13's and 15's)

This summer just past we have had the best ranked All Stars Cricket program (Cricket for 5-8 year olds) in Norfolk and also had a brilliant turn out for the new Dynamos Cricket (8 - 11 year olds), which we hope to make even bigger and better for 2022!

Perhaps most exciting for us this year (and believe us, we know how rarely a new 'first' comes in 165 years!) our ladies softball team played their first matches in 2021.

We hope to progress into hardball in the coming year and also train more for softball too. Our ladies are a wonderful bunch and a support system in themselves.

Our aim is to re-establish the club once more in it's proper place and developing and promoting membership and ideals accordingly, not only as a centre for sporting excellence, but as a proper sporting, community club by building on it's history and heritage. To achieve this objective, it is necessary to raise additional funding beyond that previously enjoyed by the club and it is proposed to do that by a mixture of Grant, fundraising and commercial sponsorship in addition to membership revenue generated by the facilities offered.
