Brymbo Cricket Club
Established in 1888, Brymbo Cricket Club near Wrexham in North Wales has provided cricket playing opportunities to many over the years. A number of senior players have represented the County, North Wales and Wales at full international level and the club is very proud of producing players who have gone on to play professional County Cricket.
The club's junior section caters for youngsters from 5 - 17 years of age and many of our youngsters have gone on to represent North East Wales, West of England, Wales & Glamorgan at various age groups.
The club is extremely proud of the young girls who currently play in the junior section and is keen to expand on this success by developing a ladies section, to enable them to progress in the game.
We aim to continue to support our youngsters and senior players, whilst at the same time expanding to become a fully inclusive club, improving our facilities to enable us to welcome ladies and disabled people; offering opportunities to players of all ages and abilities.
We believe sponsorship of our club will deliver value based on a marketing investment for financial return, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or for the love of the club.
Whatever your motivation, you can find out more below. Thank you for visiting our profile.
Why Sponsor Us?
As a successful, self-financing club, Brymbo Cricket Club's only source of income (other than holding fundraising events) is by relying on the generosity of local individuals and businesses to provide funding. Providing quality opportunities and experiences for players, does come at a high cost to the club and, without these contributions, the club would not be able to exist in its current form or be able to achieve the goals it has set for itself in the medium to long term.
The club is not-for-profit and reinvests all monies raised back into the club for the good of the community. Being part of the Brymbo Sports & Social Complex, the club has no overheads, which means we can scale our annual investment to meet our ambitions, ensuring the future sustainability of the club and the ability to provide opportunities to play cricket to people of all ages and abilities for many years to come.
Being part of the North Wales Cricket League and Chester & District Mid-week league, means your marketing investment can be focussed to maximise value to your business. Matches across all six North Wales counties and teams visiting our ground means that your brand will be visible across North Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire. Also, at Welsh Cup games played against teams from all parts of Wales, your brand will have national exposure.
The club has a flexible approach to sponsorship, with perks ranging from, but not limited to:
- company logo & link on social media posts and website's sponsors' page
- physical advertisement on club assets
- opportunities to advertise at club events
- invites to club events
Alternative/supplementary perks can be arranged through negotiation, dependent on the level of sponsor commitment.
Brymbo Cricket Club is part of Brymbo Sports & Social Complex, which is an extremely popular and very well attended venue for many social and family functions and other sporting activities, including football, bowls, tennis and squash. Brymbo Cricket Club's pitch and pavilion is the prominent feature when entering the complex as it is adjacent to the social club's facilities and, as such, it is ideally situatied for exposure, as advertising in and around the ground would be seen by a wide demographic every day, year-round and not just on match days.
The cricket club draws players and spectators from a wide geographic area and is within easy reach of North West Wales, Mid Wales, Cheshire & Shrophsire.
Whilst we are a small community club, we are committed to giving you and your company the exposure and promotion you deserve.
Very well established, the club still retains the family ethos from the day it was founded in 1888. More recently it has been reinvigorated with the efforts of new committee members and more involvement by club members, co-ordinating on and off-pitch development along with the new Chair, Nigel Roberts. There is a deep-rooted passion for cricket and dedication to local success in all, taking strides to refresh aspects of the club across the board. The club is moving away from a low income, low spend model, towards a more integrated, sustainable model to deliver longer term growth through local partnerships and sponsorships.
These changes are beginning to take effect, with green shoots of promise showing after only a few short months and in incredibly difficult times. Improved financial health, increased participation and new community ties are evidence that the steps the club is taking is beginning to manifest itself in setting the right foundations for future propserity.
Brymbo Cricket Club has full ECB (England & Wales Cricket Board) Clubmark accrediation and is affiliated to Cricket Wales. ECB Clubmark is an accreditation scheme for cricket clubs which shows that a club is sustainable, well run and provides the right environment for its members. It also means our club is recognised as a safe, rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages, as well as assuring parents and carers that they are choosing the right option for their children.
We are very proud to host the North East Wales Finals for U11's, U13's and U15's, as well as hosting school festivals, including the Area Final for local schools. We also host many Wales Junior fixtures and North Wales Junior fixtures during the season.
Our links with local schools and the community; and providing coaching and training facilities for youngsters, are evidence that social responsibility is taken seriously by the club and ticks boxes for its sponsors.
We anticipate that this is just the start of a new beginning, with a bright future ahead.
On the pitch - the club's ambitions is to build on previous success and continue to field three senior teams and a midweek team which can win the North Wales premier league; Chester & District Midweek League and other competitions such as the Welsh Cup, North Wales T20 Cup and the Flinthsire Knockout Cup.; as well as building on the success of the junior teams at ages U9, U11, U13 and U15 and the U19 youth team.
Off the pitch - to build upon and foster stronger community links and local partnerships, with a view to providing a fully inclusive club, offering "cricket for all", for future generations to join, support and enjoy for many, many years to come.
