About us:

Kent Badminton Ltd

Kent Badminton Ltd is a not for profit organisation made up of three  sections;  Juniors, Seniors and Masters and we work with the clubs, coaches and players throughout Kent to encourage and engage people of all ages in our wonderful sport.
The county set up is run entirely by volunteers.

Why Sponsor Us

Audience: Kent Badminton boasts a growing membership in excess of 4000 sports people. Through our extensive in-person marketing footprint we can provide your business with the opportunity to build brand-loyalty within the Kent area.

Facilities: Kent Badminton covers the whole county and we use a mixture of facilities from school sports hall to purpose built, badminton only venues. The council run facility at Medway Park, Gillingham houses 16 courts and is great for the large tournaments and events that we hold.

Digital: Kent Badminton boasts circa 8000 media impressions annually across our digital channels, providing extensive reach and awareness for any of our partners. We provide integration with these channels and can target specific target audiences based on your objectives.

The board has a flexible approach to sponsorship, with perks ranging from but are not limited to:

  1. logo & link on social media posts and websites pages
  2. physical advertisement on board assets
  3. opportunities to advertise at badminton events, to an audience wider than our existing membership base
  4. captive audience of Kent Badminton Ltd members for exclusive business promotions, driving top-line sales
  5. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) Opportunities through our involvement with our local charity partners

Alternative/supplementary perks can be arranged through negotiation dependent on the level of sponsor commitment, budget and your business objectives.

We are committed to giving you and your company the exposure and promotion you deserve. We recognise that without sponsorship many of our members would not be enjoying their sport all year round!

Today

Throughout the board, Kent Badminton Ltd ideals reflect sports core values of

  1. teamwork
  2. respect
  3. enjoyment
  4. discipline
  5. sportsmanship.

and over the past few years we've shown that the County organisation comes across as being much more inclusive and friendly, providing good quality sport for all levels of the badminton community.

Whilst we are ambitious, we also have a strong family ethos, derived from a commitment to youth sport for all age groups. Furthermore, the board continues to develop strong links with local charities as can be seen by our introduction of a major Para Badminton tournament & festival in May each year plus providing CPD & financial support for coaches so that they can expand their work into this area.

The pandemic means that our main source of income (6.50 county fee per adult player) has been significantly reduced and therefore we've taken the decision to look for outside sponsorship to help facilitate our ambitious plans moving forward.

If we can underwrite our work by expanding into a diverse sponsor base at a variety of different levels, this aids the County's financial stability and means we can undertake more work to ensure badminton thrives as a growing sport within Kent.

Aspirations

With membership and crowd attendances rising, this will allow Kent Badminton to firstly become a more integral part of the local community. Naturally, we want to support our sponsors and build them in to our board on a strategic level, allowing any partner to benefit from our ever-improving capabilities, expanding audience and our community involvement.

On the court, the board's ambition is to build on the progression this season. We are aiming for promotion in the Shires Junior league & Senior County Championships in the coming years and seek to grow the number of top quality players, particularly by increasing the number of junior clubs and qualified coaches.

Supporting local Badminton clubs (of which we have 82 across the county) and local leagues (of which we have seven) is also an important part of our strategy. Finally providing quality coaching for talented players to progress through the County teams onto the England team pathway is a vital part of the service that we provide. There are currently 5 Junior players participating on the England Pathway plus one adult who is part of the full England squad.

We run County squads at all age groups specifically Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, Under 18, Under 21, Seniors and at Masters level from Over 35s, Over 40s, and then a team in each 5 year band right up to O75.

Promotion will subsequently provide our partners with additional exposure through local news outlets and provide greater ROI and awareness through sponsorship of Kent Badminton.
